The tank is average size for a sea monkey tank. Nice magnifying view finders on the side. Unfortunately, only 2 sea monkeys hatched.There are instructions that say to send a letter in, but do people still do that? Lol. I sent a message to the seller through Amazon, so I'm just waiting on a response from them. Overall,. It would be good if they hatched. Hopefully, I don't end up spending $20 on just a tank.😕.Update: I was not able to get anymore eggs through Amazon. They told me to contact the seller. Before I was able to do that...the next day, the eggs hatched!

This was such a great experience for the kids and my husband also really enjoyed them. The sea monkeys lived for a very long time. I will be buying again.

I have a tank that I bought from the offical company and that tank has became a success. This tank however was pretty much a fail. Only one baby sea monkey survived. I am confident that it was not a user error because I followed the same instructions for both tanks. Both tanks had eggs put in at the same time and the same temperature. My guess is that it was a dud. I do like the look of the tank and intend to use it for when the population in my other tank gets too big.

The media could not be loaded. These little critters took so long to hatch. I did give up on them until one day my daughter said she saw one moving around. It was a shock because I didn't put any food in the tank and it survived for 3 weeks. Then a week later I saw a tiny tiny movement in the tank. Then 2 more weeks there were more. Be patient they will hatch. I put the tank by the window. I hope this helps.

Follow the instructions and it will work for you. Worked great for us. I’ve heard of Sea Monkey kits with disappointing results (no hatchlings)—but not here—we got a ton and they’re doing great. This was so much fun for my daughter and I. I wish it came with a little diffuser stone and bulb/tubing for adding air to the water (vs. stirring as is recommended)—but that’s just a nice to have.Update: we’re about 3 weeks in—video attached. There are new babies—so they are a happy colony. This Sea Monkey Kit has been as good as the ones I remember from the 80s—great turnout, not just a novelty/gag item.
