ECOGARDXC25571 Cabin Air Filter Fits 2005-2008 Ford Escape, 2006-2008 Mercury Mariner, 2008 Mazda Tribute

Bought this for a 1st Gen and 2nd Gen Escape Hybrid and fits well in the hybrid battery filter compartment.

Filter came the next day, exactly what I ordered.

Just installed it today. Fits my 2008 Escape Hybrid. This is the filter that goes in the trunk and part of the HVAC system for the battery pack in the back. The fit is 99% as good as the Motorcraft models I've been using. I just needed to wiggle it a bit to go in. I subtracted 1 star because the airflow arrow is printed on an inconvenient side of the filter, not a huge deal but Motorcraft does make this part nice and clear. As for filter efficiency? Who knows! It looks the same as Motorcraft, but that doesn't mean much. Until someone creates a definitive way to compare these things, I guess I'll take my chances.

A Great Quality After Market OEM Cabin Air Filter.

One star - This is NOT the CABIN Air Filter - it is the Battery Compartment Air Filter. The Cabin Air Filter goes under the hood near passenger side windshield and is larger and has an odd shape, like the corner has been cut off. That's the one i want.Five stars for value and ease to install for this air filter. This air filter is for the BATTERY compartment and is installed driver side rear luggage compartment. This air filter fits there and is quite easy to install, maybe 30 seconds to remove the old and push in the new.

I watched a few videos on YouTube on how to replace these filters and I did mines in just a few minutes first time. As other posted make sure you note the arrow for direction of airflow (downward) to battery pack. Also on the main page Amazon shows (incorrectly) that this does not fit 2008 Mariner Hybrid while the title of this product correctly states it does. My filter was delivered to my porch within a day for perfect convenience.
