These pencils are the best. Their lightfast rating for most of their pencils, so your pictures won’t lose their vibrant colors. The box is absolutely gorgeous. Nice dark red wood. The pencils are displayed nicely and I would recommend to any artist 👩‍🎨.

I received this box set as a gift. You'd be hard pressed to beat Caran D'Ache Museum Aquarelle colors to begin with. They're simply the best in water soluble color pencils money can buy. They're worth every dollar. This set might seem expensive, but, while it is a lot of money, it is actually what you'll get for buying the exact amount of individual pencils plus shipping. The box is absolutely elegant, sturdy, light, doesn't take up much space, and way more practical than it seems. The duplicate colors are among the most commonly used, so adding them was a smart decision. The Technalo pencils and the Grafwood pencil are soft and rich for sketching and hetching. The color pencils are genuine Caran D'Ache with their deep rich pigments and lightfastness. This was a flawless gift. If you're experimenting with water colors they are an excellent set to start you off. If you're already an artist using water soluble color pencils then you can't really go wrong with Caran D'Ache. If you're a Caran D'Ache fan, then don't think too much and give yourself a gift you'll love and use for a long time. Or better still throw in a hint to someone who cares enough about you to buy it for you.
