Do these have any bounce to them? Also, how large are they? I don't want my kitten to be able to choke on them. Thanks!

These have AMAZING bounce (in fact, this is THE reason my cat wants to play with these and none of her other ball toys!) They are the size of a golf ball so they definitely won't choke your kitty. An added feature to these balls that appeals greatly to my cat is that she can pick them up in her mouth and carry it somewhere else (something that felines like to do with their prey).

How durable are the balls? Can they stand up to being chewed? I'm afraid my cat would tear off small pieces and eat them. Are they chew proof?

Well... They're soft & foam-like. I just tried to pinch a piece off of one & I couldn't but a cats teeth may be able to rip it. I'd hate to say they're chew proof & something happen to your cat. My cat carries them around in her mouth & I see a few teeth holes but no chunks missing. Hope that helps a little

Why are they called ethical?

"ethical" as a brand name ought to be considered false advertising, as these are not actually "ethical", quite the opposite in fact..

What is the filling made of? Foam, cotton/polyester, hard material, or are they hollow?

I think the filling is made of foam. The soccer balls feel soft.
