What is the heaviest paper weight it will handle?

I put in onion skin and card stock as thick as most commercially sold card stock is. The paper does have to make a 180° turn in order to be printed. So, that would be a limiting factor for a very heavy weight cardboard.

Will this work with Apple's latest operating system 10.11?

It will and it does. I bought this printer because of the 10.11 issue. I had an old 2300d that wouldn't work with the new operating system, but this printer works great. The driver has a 10.11 selection option. Hope that helps.

Does it work with 5ghz wifi?

Not sure. I use with cable connected router that fully supports wireless printer, MacBook Pro & iPhone wifi printing.
