Constructed well and performs well
These are excellent heavy work gloves. They do perform well working with barb wire, as well as briers and other thorny plants. The reinforced areas help when working with wire fencing. The gloves are excellent for yard work, tree/brush removal, moving large rocks, and using digging tools. They also serve decently as a light welding glove. They fit well, but seem smaller than the labeled size compared to other gloves. The gloves are unlined. The cowhide material and stitching is strong. Both pairs I purchased were made in Indonesia. Highly recommended.

The gloves are what I expected in a work glove.

NOT leather as stated, but work well!
I bought these gloves based on positive reviews. When they arrived I was REALLY disappointed. They are NOT made of leather at all. It is some lightweight leather knock-off instead. They fit poorly (a little large and the fingers are odd shaped). My wife said for the money, they need to go back. I do tree work and am constantly running tree branches into a diesel chipper. My last pair of leather gloves had holes and were getting caught on snags. Way too dangerous for loading a chipper.I decided to give them a try. As disappointed as I am about the false claim of being leather, the material they are made of has held up extremely well. They are lighter weight than leather and they seem to breathe better as well. They felt cooler too.Overall, I am really impressed with these gloves. They just need to be advertised correctly and I would change to 5 stars.

Not to be used for installing fences!
Before purchasing these gloves I read through the reviews and noted only a couple that were negative. Based on the majority of good I reviews I purchased the gloves for my husband who is currently installing fences. On the first day of using the gloves a hole developed between the thumb and the forefinger. On the next day, a tear developed along the wrist. By the third day a tear had developed along the side of the glove. It appears that the leather used for some areas of the gloves is thicker than others. In the areas like the palm and fingers the leather is thick while all the adjoining leather is so thin that it tears easily. My husband has tossed these so-called fencing gloves and reverted back to the welders gloves he was using before. They are bulky but he does not risk a hand injury while installing fences. My advice? Do not buy these gloves to install fencing or similar work as the gloves do not hold up. If you want a pair of gloves that make you look like a rancher these will do, but they will not endure working like a rancher.

Solid gloves
I was looking for good outdoor gloves that would also keep warm in the colder months. These are meeting the needs so far! Main use is for firewood - splitting, stacking, cutting, but I use for most outdoor chores. I was considering something like vermont gloves, but they are very expensive. I figured I could get 3 or 4 of these for the price of one pair of vermont. You can get those reparied, but that is more than these gloves cost as well. I don't know the logevity yet, but so far after a few months of use, they are holding up great. I'm not a full time user of work gloves, just hobby farm type stuff on several acres. They also afford quite a bit of dexterity for bigger work gloves and fit is very good.
