The light stays on how do i fix it? Tried the power button multiple times but it doesn't do a thing.

This is apparently a design/manufacturing flaw. I purchased, tested and returned 2, and most of the reviews here reflect the same flaws as did I, or ones even worse. At best, Stanley support is lacking- but in this case, it's not really even their product. You'd hope someone there would wake up and yank the thing. Maybe it selling well as an impulse buy or gift for people who will never use it long enough to discover the many "features" this unit contains.

What charger do I need for this unit? I can not find it the contents.

It will come with its own chord for charging. It’s a basic usb to usb cord that connects to a charging block that you plug in. I honestly loved this flashlight but it lasted for a month and wouldn’t charge any longer. Hardly used it to. Because I enjoyed it so much I bought another and hoped the first was just a dud. Same thing happened to the second one. After it died, I plugged in the charger and it wouldn’t charge. It wasn’t the chord because I tried my iPhone block and one I bought at the station and also changed the usb chord with no luck of it charging. Cheap design I suppose within. Was a cool gadget while it lasted.

Will it mount on a tripod

I wouldn't now be how. It has a magnet on the bottom and a hook. Love mine but maybe duct tape if you want to put it on a tripod.
