Works Great!
My photo doesn't do it justice, but I have had this Athleta dress for many years, but it had seen better days. It was so faded from washing. I hated to toss it out based on it being faded - it's such a cute dress! I figured I would try dying it and see if it improves it's look.I just did it in a bucket of hot water and a little dish soap. Soaked it for about 45 minutes. Washed with warm water in machine with an old Towel and it dried a beautiful, vibrant color. Can't wait to wear it again!

dyed faded stain on carpet
It is not recommended but I tried anyway. I only use organic cleaners such as hydrogen peroxide, enyzme etc... well my pup yacked and I cleaned it up. within a week all these "bleach stains" ended up on the carpet (see pic). my carpet is dark so I mixed, green, gray and brown. start slow and follow directions with hot water. right now it's a bit dark but anything looks better than bleached stains. for some small spots only the trained eye can see the difference. If you have nothing to lose and a bit of time, I would try it. I used a paint brush and rubbed really hard with bamboo towels to blend it. I waited an hour before each dye. After the color sets in the carpet I will probably use the colorstay.

Grrrrrrreat color
I was going to a wedding with a 70s theme and could not find the color purple slacks that I wanted. I ended up ordering this dye to use on a pair of white slacks and they came out so good! I got so many compliments I had to laugh. I am going to have fun picking the next dye “project” - think it is going to be a bed skirt! Highly recommend

Keep color wheel in mind!
Love the fit dyes! I used them for my work t shirts as they gave us the ugliest colors. However it’s important to keep the color wheel in mind when dying. You can’t just replace the dye that is already in a fabric, so your color will mix with it. I used the black color for a yellow shirt and a bright blue shirt. The yellow is now more of a deep green after a few washes and the blue is a very deep baby blue. I used the dark green color for my bright green shirts and they are now a deeper but not true forest green.

3 Stars - Not Dark Enough for Synthetic Fabrics
I used Rit Synthetic Dye in Dark Green to dye my synthetic and linen blend curtains, and while the process was straightforward, the results were disappointing. I followed the instructions carefully and even used three bottles of dye, keeping the curtains in for the longest recommended time and used a color fixer as well. Despite this, the curtains came out much lighter than expected—closer to a sage green than the deep, rich dark green I was aiming for.The dye may work better on certain fabrics, but for a synthetic and linen blend, it just didn't take as strongly as I had hoped. The color is still pretty, but if you’re looking for a truly dark green, you might need more dye or a different method. Three stars because the product is easy to use, but the color payoff wasn’t quite there for my project.
