Amazing bike, lightweight, it’s great for suburban shredding, bombing down stairs, taking boulders and big tree stumps/roots at high speeds, shocks are better than other reviews say, brakes skid and are solid, all bikes are assembled by different people at the factory so some may require extra work, the previous cynical reviews made me think this bike would break after going up a curb based off those peoples reviews but I put it to the test and I’ve been riding bmx for 10 years, so ignore the dude who says “he works at a bike shop and this bike should be 500$ at most” THIS IS A GREAT BIKE FOR THE PRICE AND YOU WILL NOT BE DISSAPOINTED. I kept tabs on this bike for a few months. Amazon's prices rise and fall like the stock market. I snagged the SS (chrome model) as soon as I saw the price hit a all time low. This was my first bike I ever bought that came new in the box, and not off the floor of a LBS. Upon arrival the box looked like it went for a ride. Holes and dents all over. Opening it up, the grips had tears in them and there was some scuffs on the front hub. Assembly was pretty straightforward. To my dismay, the forks had black stanchions and not the pretty gold ones like pictured in the stock photos. Bummer. Can't tell if it's a 2019 or 2020 model. Looks like a 2020. From the jump I had to install new grips. Odi lock ons are my go to. Then it was ready for the first ride. Immediately I hated the gear ratio. So I tossed a 28t front on I had laying around. Better, but will likely go 33t on the front eventually. Next, the seat had to go. It's position is fixed and is pointed too high for my liking. So I swapped it out for a pivotal post and an adapter to dial in that perfect angle. Lastly, the bars were too wide and flat for me, so I tossed on some SPANK spoon bars with 60mm rise and cut them down to 730mm. Now this thing rides like the dj dream I always wanted. Honestly for the sum of it's parts, and including the 100$ in stuff I added, for a dj weighing in at 28 to 29lbs, for under $1k you can't beat it's value.

this bike is spot on. it is the best mtb dj you can get for your money. i built this thing up and went out and rode rays mtb and shreded it hard and it does it perfect. the parts it says it has on this page are wrong btw. it has a 12t cassette not a freewheel, it is also integrated and sealed headset. if anyone is looking for something to buy and just ride super hard then buy this and send it! also I'm 5'7 and its perfect for my hight.

The tires that come with this bike will not last very long, so be prepared to replace them...that is if you keep this bike. The way that things are attached to the frame will cause future issues and you won't be able to fix them without going to a bike shop! Stay away from this bike. We were hopeful that it was a good bike, even after we saw the cheap tires. We started putting it together and realized how poorly it was designed. It took forever to get the bike back into the box. Just don't waste your time. We've put together several bikes and we have experience fixing them, but this one is extra!

Super easy to set up and ready to ride

Bottom line is decent bike for the sale price. This was my replacement or exchange, the 1st one shipped with a noticeable scratch in the frame. This one was a little better only having scuff marks on the frame, forks and cranks and a less than perfect weld that is visually not appealing (my OCD). I love the purple color and sale price were the reasons I purchased this bike. The frame material is high quality but if you ride this bike a lot you will want to upgrade some of the components. 1st thing is the none adjustable seat angle will violate you or cause you to slide into the rear tire. The headset, cranks, stem and pedals are cheap and I will be replacing with upgraded parts. The wheels, forks and brakes are adequate although I had to adjust my brakes right out of the box and it looks like I need to have my front rim trued. Tires are good chain and shifting components are good, surprisingly my bike shifts very well right out of the box. To sum up my review I'm a little disappointed with the bike and would not pay full retail for it. If you can get it on sale and are willing to upgrade some components you will have a nice mid level dirt jumper.

Overall nice bike for the price! As always you need to put on your bike mechanic hat to assemble and tune it up. Here are a couple details you might have an issue with. The cable driven disc breaks are ok. The front brake caliper was assembled incorrectly and was not operational when the bike arrived. I was able to disassemble and reassemble correctly (works now). The front shock works but it is the lowest quality shock I’ve seen (consider purchasing a used one online and replace). The stock pedals are cheap plastic (upgrade immediately to reduce slips and risk of injury). The red rear reflector (came with two rear reflectors, both same size?) do not fit. The white front reflector fits fine.After a good look the bike seems solid, nice welds, paint, tires are ok etc.
