Maui JimRed Sands Lifestyle Sunglasses

These glasses are perfect for a giant head (size 8, which translates to a XXXXL). As such, they do not look as good on a small head. Makes people look like they are children wearing their parents sunglasses. But, for larger faces they look fantastic and feel amazing.Lens quality is excellent, clarity is fantastic. They seem really durable and are very scratch resistant.One other thing, I like to wear the Deep Woods bug spray (100% deet) and that stuff is CAUSTIC. Makes my lips go numb. It's freaking awesome. Anyway, I've had it eat through camera backs, cell phone cases, hats and a ton of cheap sunglasses. Literally melted the stem off one of them. However, these glasses seem to handle it fine. The rubber doesn't melt and the plastic doesn't die. I know that doesn't matter to most people, but it does speak to the quality of their materials. It will definitely hold up to sweat and the toll of time.Overall, excellent glasses.

This is my third pair of Red Sands frames, first one was broken (my fault) and second decided to stay behind on my last vacation (can't blame them, really!)While I am unhappy with MJ for not working with vision insurance plans anymore (and the prescription price going up by $600!) I still find this frame the best available anywhere due to the wired nose piece (instead of molded - you can see in the picture). So I bought another pair and will continue to love them - even in a non-prescription format.

Had to get rid of my D&G glasses after 5 years due to scratching. These look pretty good too, though much lighter and best of all they actually stay in place where as my others constantly slid down my face due to the material.I also like that things don’t really get super dark when I wear these. Not like other sunglasses I’ve had. I can see pretty well. And again, they don’t fly off in my jeep when I have the windows down.So I’m happy with these for the next 5 years.

Great sunglasses. I have a larger face and can have a difficult time finding sunglasses that look right. These look great and feel great. They are very light weight and sit off my face enough that my eye lashes don't touch the lenses. I really like the tint of lens. Some lenses are so dark it makes it hard to see out of tinted windows, these are not like that. They are just dark enough that the sun is not a problem but just light enough that your not struggling to see through your rear tinted windows. I currently have a couple high end designer sunglasses and a couple pairs of Ray-Bans and these Mauis are my favorite.

These sunglasses are of good quality and do a good job filtering the sun, however, I had to return the pair I ordered because they were too large for my face and I did not like the nose rest. I took off one star because I found the nose rest to be uncomfortable. The nose rest is not integrated into the frame it stands off and is attached with two screws, this provides two points of contact with your nose. Take a close look at the photos and you will see what I mean. Most people would likely not find this to be an issue as the sunglasses themselves are great.

Amazing sunglasses! The double Hd polarization brings an exaggerated image of the world around you! Saltwater proof!!! Wear while on the beach or in it! They actually helped me see through my windshield better driving through REALLY bad thunder storm. Lifetime Warranty!! Lens cracked send it back.. Maui Jim are my go too sunglasses, absolute best for literally anything! Fishing? they remove the glare off the water and let you see the fish your trying tackle. This is my second pair of Maui's only because I lost my first pair.... But every lens on any style are the same, so what ever swag is Maui Jim has a style to fit your style. I am 100% a consumer and not affiliated with Maui Jim whatsoever (had to throw that in there, because my description sounds like a sales pitch, I'm a floor man and would love to receive some free Maui's haha) I paid full price. That just goes to show Maui Jim's "Sales Pitch" isn't one at all... its the COLD HARD TRUTH my friends!!

For the money you spend on these glasses I would not recommend them. I bought a brand new pair May 4, 2022. By June there was a noticeable scratch on the right lens. Maui Jim does not cover scratches under warranty. I had to pay the shipping cost to return the glasses (insured FYI). They replaced the glasses for free, which is NOT customary. The new pair scratched within one week of use on the left lens. You can follow the protocol to clean these gasses with soap and water, use the cloth provided etc. (They provide instructions for care). It does not matter. The glasses are comfortable and look nice, but are NOT durable. Huge regret buying these glasses.

I've always been meant to avoid buying from a brand under Luxottica. So I have had 2 pairs from Warby Parker, and this is my first Maui Jim. The sunglasses are really well done. The frame feels sturdy. And the lens are polarized. The pads have a rubber layer, plus the inner of the lags also has a stripe of runner, so it doesn't slide easily. It also fit my large face well. I love it!I haven't dropped the glasses so I can't say to how durable the lenses are, though other reviews do mention they can be scratched.
