Q: How does this compare to the Professional Cleaning solution for removing pet stains and odors? Has anyone tried both?

I have tried both and they both seem to work fine. I prefer this one due to having mainly cat stains and this seems to prevent them from remarking due to still smelling it on the carpet and removes any sight of a stain. I do however have to use the attachment for it to really work, or rub in with a spoon to really get into the stain.

Q: Can this be used on upholstery to clean an entire couch and love seat and not just for spot cleaning?

yes this can be used on upholstery to clean couch and love seat. I used this on my whole carpet ,it is not just for spot cleaning.

Q: which is it, does or does not contain heavy metals, dies, etc?

It does not appear to have dies or metals at all.

Q: This removes old stains right? odor, too, right? well, if i put in in my carpet cleaner, how long would i let this sit before sucking it back up?

We recommend you pre-treat the stain before you use your deep cleaner.
