Excellent Boots
I'm an Ironworker and there aren't many trades harder on your boots than what I throw at them. They stand up to welding, dropping stuff on them, kicking sheets of deck, and water proof to your ankle. The water proof lining actually makes for great insulation in the weather if you're moving around. These are the only work books I've ever worn that are comfortable right out of the box. Fit true to size and are a good looking boot as well

Comfortable and cool
My husband works for a power company and is in his boots all day. Sometimes, all day and night. He’s in all types of weather but right now it’s 90 degrees outside and rains a lot! He bought a pair of Ariats that were this same style, just their brand and a slightly different sole, and his feet were soaked from sweat all day which ended up causing issues with his feet. Even with using a boot dryer daily. These have been great for him. He says his feet still get hot but nowhere near like they did with the others. And they stay dry when it’s raining. He doesn’t complain of his feet hurting much at all anymore and his feet problems have gone away. He’s been pleased!

I'm still breaking these boots in but so far the fit, quality and construction are impressive!
I've already put these boots through rain, snow and sleet on steep slopes, rocks, logs and slick grass while clearing dense brush on my property. This included clearing thick patches of sharp thorned blackberry bushes with a Billy Goat Brush Hog in a very wet and slippery environment. These boots have been amazing so far and provided superior protection from all the above. My feet stayed completely dry and the comfort and support were outstanding. I'm glad I chose the EVA (black sole) with the heel. It provided much better traction in the wet slippery conditions I was working in than the wedge heel work boots I've used previously. These 8 inch, steel toe, moc toe waterproof boots are heavy, but bad assed work boots!

They do require some break in they are made of a thick leather they are not soft like swade
In my opinion if you get the correct size for your feet this is one of the best if not the most comfortable pair of boots they typically last about a year and a half of heavy concrete abuse if you take care of the leather they will last great boot

Comfortable boot, odd sizing
Wearing the Thorogood 1957 straight out of the box, they are quite comfortable for a leather boot. The build quality is outstanding and very high quality. I was surprised with the overall comfort standing and walking for over 12 hours the first day I wore them. The size is a bit odd though. I normally wear 11 men's (45 UK), but their 11 is too long for me. Also, I do not have wide feet and have never worn a wide shoe or boot. These boots I had to get the wide fit as the normal width is way too narrow and squeezed the sides of my feet. I ordered these in a 10.5 Wide and they fit great. If you're considering these, definitely find somewhere you can try them on first or be prepared to return or exchange due to the odd sizing. Overall, I am pleased with the boot. After finding the size that works, they fit fine and are surprisingly comfortable. I'm sure as they break-in they will become even more comfortable. I would recommend them to anyone looking for a high-quality work boot.

ThoroGOOD!!!
My husband swears by these boots. He's a project manager and walks all sorts of terrain for jobsites. He says these are the only boots that have lasted him more than 6 months. We have tried all the name brands, and these are the only ones he will use now. He's 6'1 and 270 lbs so not a small guy. No knee or back pain either. Definitely worth the money!

Upset
Disappointed After Only 3 Months – Thorogood BootsI wanted to like Thorogood boots, but after only three months of regular use, the sole started ripping apart. For a work boot in this price range, that’s unacceptable. I expected better durability—especially from a brand with such a strong reputation.I’ve had Redwing boots before and never had this issue. They lasted significantly longer under similar conditions. For anyone who needs real work boots that can handle daily wear, I’d recommend Redwing over Thorogood.

Wonderful Boots for Work
I recently purchased a pair of these for work. I have to say they are hand down some of the most comfortable work boots I have worn to date. Break-in was minimal and so far I have spent more time in the boots than my Asics since purchase. Very please with fit and overall build of boot. I highly recommend these boots for anyone who spends great deal of time on their feet. Water resistance is very nice and they have keep my feet dry through a couple of rains offshore.
