Yale Security B-YRD226-ZW-NW-619 Yale Assure Lock Z-Wave Norwood Works with Ring Alarm, Smartthings, and Wink Smart Touchscreen Deadbolt with Matching Lever, Satin Nickel

We installed our Yale 226 Z-Wave smart door lock in March 2020. It works with our Z-Wave based communication systems. We use Ring door cameras with an Alexia security system.The Yale Assure Lock Z-Wave is being used on a door which is the most used portal to our home. Able to install & program this Yale 226 smart lock using supplied instructions. I highly recommend the Yale Assure 226 Z-Wave smart lock to those having either or both Ring & Alexa existing systems. We have been using our Yale smart lock on the busiest entrance portal W/O any issues for 3 weeks. UPDATE. WE have now used this Yale for more than 3 years. Only needed to change batteries once during this time and it was an easy 10 minute task. Again Thanks to YouTube. This lock is of high quality. Lastly I’ll mention that having he ability to be manually operated by key provides additional reassurance.

I have 3 of these locks. On one I purchased the keypad stops working when it rains. It works through the app, but not the keypad. To get the keypad to work you have to take out one battery and wait a minute then put the battery in again and the keypad works, until the next time it rains. This is the only one of the 3 that does that. Customer service is useless. She said it has to be a loose wire. A loose wire that works for months (We are in a drought) and only stops working when it rains and miraculously begins working again when you take a battery out and put it back in again. At her request I took the lock apart and every thing was fine. I put it back together and of course it works fine because it is not raining and I took the batteries out and put them back in to reboot the lock. This "technical support person" would not listen to anything I said. What a mess. My wife comes up the ramp to the door with her walker and cannot get in. I am super disappointed. Want a warrantee replacement, but no go.

Very easy to install and setup. The lock has voice prompts to assist you with setting it up. Installs like most traditional locks with no problems.

I liked this lock very much. Unfortunately, it did not work with my Google network. You needed a separate hub. I returned this and purchased RB-YRD540-WV-619, per the manufacturer's recommendation. This one seamlessly connects to the Google network. No key back for that model, but a battery backup function is included.

This model I bought has all the extra bells and whistles; however, they don't work without customer support. Called customer support multiple times and they fix cloud based problems until the next update; then it's a repeat all over. This lock is great as a stand alone keypad entry; but all the features that require internet and cloud connection are garbage at the moment.

I bought this one because it was one of the few with a lever-style front handle. Unfortunately, the lever won’t snap on to the cylinder with the rosette installed. Had to return it.

Less than a year and locks are not functioning correctly. Had a replacement but it still did not work. Support was not that pleasant to work with the first time so I am going to buy different locks to replace the 2 Yale locks that are less than a year old. $500 down the drain.
