High Quality Item at a Fair price
I bought this stretching machine because I own two pairs of shoes that were way too tight. I remembered My Late Dad taught Me about this type of device when I was very young. I chose to invest in this because I would rather have this available than have to take shoes to a shoemaker's shop to have it done professionally. This will be beneficial to My Wife as well because She wears nearly the same size as Me. The devise worked rather well on a pair of lace-up canvas Sperry Top-siders that I recently bought. The other pair are leather and I am just having to tough it out with them because, even though this device did indeed stretch them, I have some Nephropathy issues that were caused by the Chemo-therapy that I went through between November of 2018 through April of 2019 and My feet are extremely sensitive these Days because of what I just described. These are a Really Good Value. I would recommend this to Anyone Who doesn't want to have to go to a Shoe-maker's shop each time They get a New pair of Shoes that are just a bit Too tight. The process is Extremely Simple and it Works. ( As long as You Follow the Very Simple Instructions that are Included in a Manual that Comes with this Device). I hope this helps.

Shoe Stretcher - Great Way to Make Shoes More Comfortable
I have a small, but wide foot. Finding comfortable dress shoes has been an ongoing challenge for me, so I finally decided to try a shoe stretcher. After reading multiple reviews for similar products, I decided this more costly option may be worth the price. The device has a quality feel to it - not at all like what was described for some of the cheaper options. I've already used it to successfully stretch the width of a couple of pair of shoes and am pleased with the result. There are only 2 things holding me back from complete satisfaction. First, based on reading others' reviews, I went with the medium size, and it is now evident I should have ordered the small. I wear a 6.5 (US) and am finding the medium stretcher is too long to fit into my 6.5 shoes for a length adjustment. The wooden piece that would go inside the heel section simply will not fit into my smaller shoes. That's totally my fault. By size I should have ordered the small, but I went with medium based on other reviews. I am still able to use the stretcher for width adjustment, just not length. It's not worth the trouble of returning/exchanging, especially when it's my fault. The second issue is this stretcher isn't meant for shoes with much of a heel. This device is more flat, so if you wear tall heels, you might want to check for a model with that curve built into it. I've been able to push the toe part of the stretcher into a pump for a width adjustment, but it's not as good a fit as a curved model would be. I'm sold on the value of a shoe stretcher, and convinced this is a quality model. However, if I ordered again I would stick to my true size, and would look for an option that is curved for shoes with higher heels.

Game Changer!
I have bunions. I have worn sneakers for years because I had trouble getting my foot to fit into anything that I could walk in for more than a few steps. I would end up leaving shoe stores in frustration as nothing would work for me. Recently I saw a pair of shoe brand online that I wanted to try out as all of the reviews indicated that they were wider than normal and people should size down. I bought my regular size and hoped for the best (as they weren't returnable.) Of course they didn't fit as they were way too tight and also felt too short.I decided to order a shoe stretcher to see if that would work. I wish I had bought this product years ago. I stretched one shoe, the smaller and more uncomfortable one overnight for about 12 hours. Wow, what a difference! I am currently wearing my new shoe with a thick sock. I may even by heel pads because the back of my foot is now slipping out of the shoe. This is amazing. I purchased the stretcher and the accompanying spray. The instructions are clear and easy to follow. The shoes have leather uppers and manmade materials inside and the products worked beautifully together. Highly recommend!

Excellent Quality, does the job right.
This German made shoe stretcher is quality made, heavy & hard Beach wood with metal screw rod along with metal turn handles. My new $489 leather shoes were chaffing and giving me open sores on the back of my heels. I purchase the stretcher a few days ago, doing (stretch over 24 hrs.) one at a time over a couple of days. There was a noticeable stretch the next day (about 1/2 inch) compared to the other shoe. Wore them both today, and wha-La - I had no chaffing or sores on my back heels, my shoes were com-fort-able to walk around in.This is a extremely well made shoe stretcher, harken back to the days of my father back in the 1960's when he stretched his leather shoes - this one is highly recommended, just like the old days only better today.

Ignore the others. This is the one you want!
Great quality and does the job perfectly. I have tried several other cheaper options, which all were useless and cheap for a reason. Ignore the others. This is the one you want!

Well made but pricey
Looks well made, for a high price.Only three bump inserts included, but one is long which is how such should be made. (Perhaps I can mold more.)Deluxe feature is heel pusher, so acts as shoe lengthener if needed - but that will tend to narrow shoe.(It gets in the way of using for widening.)

Broken after second use
Very disappointed with this item. The item was broken after the second use. The shoe stretcher thread broken , which seems to be the design flaw. Makes me angry as this is 4 times more expensive than the Chinese ones and regardless of the quality of the wood or what not. It’s construction is basically a small nut that threads the long bolt. And it wore out rather quickly. Waste of time and money returning even. My advise buy from eBay and you will have the cover with PayPal. And amazon said they will cover $32 in postage. It will cost me $50 plus to ship back. I should really be able to throw this in the bin and except either a replacement or my money back.

Built tough no plastic moving parts
I have a very extensive sneaker collection but I have wide feet and high arches so often I need to stretch them to make them fit. The foot fitter shoe stretcher is very well made with wood and steel no plastic pieces that strip or break on the second use. The old add age you get what you pay rings true here. I highly recommended it I bought a second one as they are not sold in pairs. I am waiting for the spray to arrive which is supposed to help with the stretching process I will update my review after I try the spray
