Pelican1740 Case With Foam (Black)

I have always loved pelican cases. This one lives up to my expectations.I've been looking for a new storage/transport case and this one is amazing. I bought the Amazon return/cosmetic blemish resale (for a steal) of this case. Despite it arriving in a damaged box, the case itself was dusty but had absolutely nothing wrong with it. There was a tiny plastic flap like mark (either a kinda scuff mark from being drug across something abrasive really fast or overmold tag from the molding process) on the wheel support. However, it could have been just a blemish from the factory because I used an x-act-o knife and took it off. There's no obvious blemish anymore.This case holds a massive amount of gear and parts from my collection. If you mix, match, and stagger your gear in between the layers of foam, you can store so much.The heavy duty plastic exterior is definitely top quality. The latches work smooth as butter. The wheels are smooth in motion even under heavy weight. The handles feel strong and even fully loaded, haven't hardly flexed let alone buckled/broken. I lost my balance and dropped it when it was full, not so much as a scuff on the case. My only complaint is that you have to use separate locks to secure the case. It doesn't have key locking latches.

This case is amazing and came in an awesome Military Green color. It is a Medium sized case with wheels that feels like great quality and build. Inside are several layers of thick foam that can easily be altered to suit any of your camera, electronic, or fragile items for ultimate protection. The locks snap into place providing air, rain, and dust protection. The case is perfect for anyone who doesn’t want to go full size large (I.e. 6+ feet in length) but wants solid protection and portability. Highly recommend !

I bought this case a few days ago before I moved. I want to thank some of you provided the useful information before i made the purchase. I was able to fit in : 1 shot gun (M1 super 90, 41 inches long, i had the barrel pointed upwards to use the vertical diagonal distance) , 1 AR15, 6 Pistols all in one case. I also put some loaded magzines in the case as well (not during the moving). Please see the photos.Pros: Quality case, top notch materials. waterproof. Lots of space and you can choose what lay out you want to have: vertical or different layers. It also comes with a lifetime warranty( just for the case, nothing else). Note: measure your equipments before you buy it. It's a big case, make sure your car have enough space for it too.Cons: Foam inside are very soft, I wish they are harder. I might get some better qulity foam. Since the foam quality are not so great, I tried not to put all my stuff in the case. I mean I can put in more firearms if I do it in different layers.Some people complained about the case lacking of a middle carry handle. I would say it's going to be very heavy for lifting it off the ground. My case was weighted exactly 70 pounds. without the wheels, you will need two people to carry it if you are not very tall and very strong.In Summary, I am happy with this purchase. It's expensive but worthy. I trust this case and I recommend it to everybody.

We got this case for our trade show booth. We've got two popup stands that we ship regularly to shows and as such, we needed a hardened case that we could repeatedly ship with.The outside of the case is tough, thick plastic material of some sort. I believe that the case has a waterproof rating but we're hopefully never going to find out anything about that. The clasps are very tough and the wheels are very sturdy. We're using zip ties to secure it as well during transit and there's a place for a lock if you so desire. There's a side compartment where you can put your personal information but I believe that UPS and/or Fedex will see it as a challenge and break it. Hence, we've put our company information strategically in several places on the outside of the case.The inside of the case came with plenty of foam so we could make whatever shape we wanted with the foam. We simply removed most of the foam for our purposes. The lid also has a foam lining as well. Overall, very sturdy inside.We've shipped it twice. Loaded up, it's about 70 pounds. The handle feels very sturdy and I hope that the case continues to serve us well. I believe that UPS and Fedex like to drop kick items like this so it's already got some decent scuff marks on it.

One heck of a gun case extremely waterproof shockproof, I’m able to carry 2 long guns and accessories. And best of all it was pick an pluck. Fits my firearms perfect looks very professionally done. very reasonable price. Looking to purchase more Pelican cases. I would say I’m a happy customer an highly recommend pelican cases.

Used to ship trade-show materials across the country with an express mail service. Worked perfectly. Could load it up. The wheels allow one person to move it easily and the handles on each allow two people to carry it easily. Came with layers of customizable foam inserts, would be good for shaping to your equipment needs. There are so many latches and two locking points (I used zip ties), it won't pop open in transit.

I have purchased many pelicans, and this one’s just as all the rest, Except the foam inserts on the inside, we’re all offset from each other with their pre-cut foam. No matter how you organize them there was no way to get it to lineup. Now I’m going to have to buy independent inserts to be able to put things in the case. For those the don’t understand if the foam is not aligned, Every time you put something in and pull it out, you tear more of the pre-cut foam squares. That defeats the entire purpose of protecting the equipment.
