Euro-Far-East threads are a smidgen different than US hose thread. Use a bit of vaseline.
Purchased two, one measuring flow from my well’s plumbing supply into my back-up water storage tank and the second meter to measure output from my tank’s pump sending water into my home’s plumbing. Both Installed easily enough although I did use a bit of vaseline on both of the male threads on both of the meters to ease installation & tightening of the connections - tighten very slowly - I also used braided-stainless washing machine connection hoses upstream & down. Both meters are functioning perfectly. (By the way, 250 US gallons equals ~946 liters.)

I can check what kind of consumption my apartments have been having
It does what it needs to do. I am satisfied with what I paid for these. I got 4 to check which apartments spend more water and so I can measure what all tenants need to pay. So far they seem sturdy enough and accurate.

Works great I detecting a leak
Works with standard pecks connectors.I’m using this just to see if water is flowing inside the pipe or not since it goes out over a couple of acres and sometimes there is a leak and I don’t know about it for days so now I just checked every couple days and if nothing is moving, then there is no leak.

This unit measures flow in cubic meters (not gallons).
The measurement accuracy is 0.001 m3 which is about 0.25 gallons (one gallon is roughly equal to 0.004 m3). There are simple online calculators for doing the conversion if needed. This meter must be installed in a horizontal position. It will leak if using the brass adapters with the provided gaskets (replace with standard garden hose gaskets). So far, so good. Filling the pool now and will update if anything interesting happens with the meter.

Know your pipe threads
I've seen several complaints regarding the size and type of threaded ends on the meter. First, the meter has 3/4" BSP threads (british standard pipe) and is not interchangeable with NPT (national pipe thread). This is the reason adapters (female 3/4" BSP x 1/2" male NPT) are included. The adapters included allow you to connect the 3/4" BSP end to the meter and then use a 1/2" female NPT to standard hose adapter to connect to your hose. You can get a female hose adapter for the inlet and a male hose adapter for the outlet. This allows you to connect the meter to your outdoor faucet and your hose to the output of the meter. It seals perfectly.

Something is wrong with the threads
I bought this for a short term project and because I was too cheap to buy the meter that reads in US Gallons. The unit comes with adapters to take it from whatever thread is native on the unit and convert to Standard pipe thread. The issue is the adapters are cheap and will forever leak. I assembly it with teflon tape 3 different times, using more and more tape each time, but still leaked. I tried liquid teflon and then liquid teflon with the teflon tape and still leaked. After two weeks of trying to stop the drippy leak I finally overtightened the fittings I attached to the adapters so much that they cracked.I even tried to eliminate the adapters and getting fittings to attached directly to the unit but could not figure out what thread the connections on the unit are. I took it to Lowes, Home Depot and a local hardware store and stumped all that tried to help.Save your money, and even more so your frustration, and buy a better quality unit.

Worth it
The water flow meter was incredibly easy to install and easy to use. I personally bought it to show my two young teens how to conserve, keep track of what we are using and be responsible for our actions. I think it's also really helpful to know if there happens to be a plumbing issue or if there's a sudden spike in usage to look into what's being wasted. Good product and great price!
