According to the information I read on this it doesn't nut support charging at all. Anything requiring power needs to be plugged directly into PC / laptop etc that does charge.

Q: Would this work with gaming hardware e.g. Capture card , webcams ?

To my knowledge yes, I run my VR headset through this and have tried it out with other USB devices and works perfectly fine

Rock Solid build and the length I needed.

Feels lighter than I expected, but still solid enough to survive life on my messy desk. Works perfectly on my Linux setup, no fiddling, no swearing. The longer lead is a blessing, I can finally drag my USB ports out from the back of the PC to somewhere I can actually reach, which matters when you’re a shorty like me. Another dependable bit of kit from Anker, which is why I keep going back to them. Brilliant value for money with the discount at the time, Solid Anker build for a top price. Connectivity has been flawless with good speed performance, no dropped devices except for my butterfingers.

Works but can cause system instability

I bought this cause I needed to free up a USB slot for my webcam, however, when streaming, my system would randomly freeze completely during streaming, I thought it was caused by my GPU, but I started to notice, the crashes happened when doing a keyboard input or mouse click, it's a good product for short term usage or light weight stuff on PC, not for intensive gaming and streaming

Extended USB port with 5 ports.

This easy to use, USB port is perfect, has 5 ports, with a nice length lead. which is great, works the same as if plugged directly into your lap top. It is compact, and fits perfectly into my small pencil case, when travelling.
