Two things to know. To make the squeezing process easier for citrus with thick skins or of really large size, it helps to make a slight incision through the rind at 90 or 120 degrees around the cut edge of the fruit, making the extraction process easier and a little more efficient. The second is, if you have range of motion issues, arthritis, or muscle weakness, this is not the product for you, and you should choose a motorized juice extractor. It's an easy to operate, simple machine, Issac Newton would heartly approve.

I used to squeeze lemons for cooking by hand or juice them in advance with an old-fashioned, glass juicer. Both methods left quite a bit of juice behind. I know it's such a simple thing, what all can you say about a lemon squeezer after all? But it's such great quality. I was using one of those somewhat cheap bright yellow ones that look super cute when you buy them, but after time the yellow coating starts to chip off and I just thought that can't be healthy so I opted for a "boring" looking one but honestly I'm glad I did. It still has a nice design and fits nicely in my hands. I think this one will last a long time and not add unwanted ingredients to my lemon juice, if ya know what I mean. It's a little pricey, but worth it in my opinion. Highly recommend!

I bought this juicer because I didn't want the painted ones as they can contain lead. I juice oranges every day to make adrenal cocktails. This juicer does the job and it does it well. I think that it will last for a long time. I loved reading the story of the owners and the care that they take in providing a good product. I am happy with my purchase.
