Tombstone [Blu-ray]

I went nuts and ordered this... I just got it... I was going to give it a quick look... Ended up watching it again... Holy moly... The colors, the details... Beautiful. Highlights are not washed out, great detail in shadows.And I don't have really high end equipment.The one thing that still bug's me is when Wyatt Earp goes out in the rain... The distance is dry as a bone... Other than that it's perfect.

It was delivered by US Post office & the steel book was dented. This resulted in 1/2 of the back hinge being torn. For me this was not the end of the world. I brought it for the movie 🎥 not the case. Although I had to pay twice the price, standard case not available.😞 Could not ask for more in picture quality. No Atmos but 5.1 sounds great and gunshots won't disappoint. I prefer this to Wyatt Erp. Great acting Val Kilmer,Kirt Russell,& more. Could have included sheriff badge or booklet.

Along with having top notch actors, the writing, directing and acting is very well done! Of course it isn’t a documentary, so expect that the storyline doesn’t match actual facts. But, it hovers near enough to the facts to still be entertaining. I have watched the movie many times, and still catch things that I have missed. After you watch it the first time, watch it again but with the ‘closed captions’ turned on. - I just can’t recommend enough that you watch it.

Val kilmar played a very well doc holliday.charlon Heston had a small roll.saw this film on HBO I believe way back.one of my favorite westerns would recommend owning it.if you like westerns get it on 4k or bluray #########

An absolute must!! By allmeans this is my favoritewestern movie. Action packed with surprise ending!

Tombstone finally got a remaster over the horrible Blu-Ray version released 20 years ago. The old movie had a lot of edge enhancement and had severely crushed blacks and was over contrast.The remaster still is too dark with too strong contrast but the edge enhancement is gone. Colors are a tad too rich but it is better than the older release. Note that the 4K and Blu-Ray discs are both using the new remaster source, the Blu-Ray is not using the same disc as the original release.Another issue, why is this movie so expensive? It's been several months and the price has not gone down.
