I was so happy to find this. I was getting frustrated trying to make julienne carrots. It took forever and they were always too big. Then I saw this little shredder and its so easy. I use it for making Vietnamese Spring Rolls. someone told me it was used for Korean cooking. It works great. Its fast and inexpensive.

I wasn’t sure if this would work, but I was definitely pleasantly surprised. I was looking for a tool that could do a julienne cut, and it did the job well. The only minor thing is that when you start the peeling it is still intact following by being cut. But it easily pulls apart. It’s an inexpensive tool that does the job.

This is amazing. Scrapes off thin peels for salads or recipes or soup. Like thin noodles. Love OXO. Handle could be a bit longer as you have to press down and dry your veggie before use.

This thing is not an automated tool. However, it makes it easy to do things, extremely easy in fact, that would be really hard to do otherwise. Like, if you're making a stir-fry and you want some carrot, you can use this tool to cut very thin strips of carrot that you can toss into your dish and they'll take no time to cook. You can do the same thing with zucchini and add them into a pan with cooked pasta and olive oil and garlic and have a whole dish in like 2 minutes.Maybe the best thing is that this device is fantastic for zesting citrus fruits. Now it's not as *easy* as doing it with a Microplane, but once you get the hang of it you get wonderful strips of zest at just the right depth, and you can keep them as long strips of zest or you can mince them.Again, you have to practice using it a little, but I absolutely love the results.

This product works very well. Because it did work so well I bought a OXO coffee grinder which appears to also be well made, replacing my Cuisinart grinder which was a royal pain.

I bought this to peel my carrots into julienne strips. it works, but it is so small that i can barley hold onto it while i work.
