Xcelite99K Empty Canvas Case for 99PR Tool Roll Kit, 13-7/8" Length x 6-7/8" Width, Red

My 99PR case fell apart after many years of service. Bought this one, swapped the tools, and now my 99PR set is back to like new.

It's a cheap replacement. Plastic not cloth and no USA tag like others have pointed out. Not bad but will not last 20 yrs like the original.

I bought this roll case to replace one that i purchased in the early 70's. This one is cheaply made and I'll consider myself lucky if it lasts even 10 years. My old one was canvas and had an elastic strap to keep it rolled up but this new one has Velcro. I think Xcelite has never quite gotten a handle on the phrase "new and improved" but now it's "new and cheaply made"! In past years I always considered Xcelite to be a quality product but now many Xcelite products are made in Taiwan and PRC...???Would I purchase again = YES but selectivelyWould I recommend = YES but with a clear caution

No longer made in USA, and no longer really canvas. It's more like tarpaulin sheet. Easier to keep clean, I suppose. And it does roll up more compactly. It will probably hold up OK, since it is the clear pockets that fail first. Mine break when it is below freezing (they get rock hard). Would that they use better plastic, or better still, real leather (though that would cost too much).

Case is not made of canvas as original model, mostly plastic, other than that, good replacement of handy roll kit. Old case was 30 yrs. old and worn out, doubt new one will make it that long.

This pouch seems a bit cheaper in quality from the pouch I replaced. I hope it lasts 20 years like the other one did.

Not as heavy duty as the original but I it looks like it should be a good replacement for the original one. I'll let you know in 30 years if it lasted as long as the original. ;-)

Very good and on time delivery. Replaced my 33 years old case.
