RADA Cutlery Heavy Duty Paring Knife, Silver Handle

I bought a couple of "RADA Heavy Duty Paring knives w/ Black Resin Handle" in November of 2016, used them just about every day in the kitchen, and was so impressed by how well-made and versatile they are that I later bought more RADA products. Mind you, I have other paring knives available in my kitchen, for example: Dexter (made in the USA) and Victorinox (made in Switzerland) paring knives, very well made and highly serviceable, but more single-purpose as to how they were designed and/or intended to be used. The RADA knives, however, are the ones I automatically reach for when I need a paring knife. One reason I prefer to use this particular paring knife is its handle -- I'm a bit over 6'2" and, depending on the brand, use size L or XL gloves. This knife's HANDLE just feels "right" in my hands. Also, the blade is made of bright surgical steel that takes and holds a good edge, has what I'd describe as a modified American "clip-point" tip (not a "spear tip" point), and is a breeze to keep ready sharp with a RADA sharpener. The blade also has a bit of flex to it, sufficient, but not not too much. If I had to hazard a guess, I'd say that this knife is the end-result of a long process of refinement, and, when the good people at RADA finally hit the sweet spot and got it right, they stopped messing with it! Beautiful!! In conclusion, and what seals the deal for me, is that this knife is much more than just a single-purpose pairing knife. This pairing knife can perform multiple duties or tasks, one of them being that I can use it as a steak knife in, for example, relaxed informal dining at home. Whenever I need a no frills, ready sharp, highly precise and controllable short blade, with a handle that fits my hand comfortably and securely, this is what I use. I keep four of these in my knife block and two brand new ones in reserve. This product is truly excellent, AND IT'S MADE IN AMERICA. Well, that's it. Thank you all, and God bless.

These are sharp knives that stay sharp and look like new after months of use. It seems strange that they are so light.

Excellent find! These small knives are extremely sharp and very well made. I am so glad with this purchase and have just ordered one for a friend. I did think they were a little pricey compared to knives I’ve purchased in stores and used. But, they have far surpassed the cheaper ones and are still very sharp after daily use.

One of my two favorite knives. The other also a Rada. Sharp and easy to use. Fits nicely in your hand. I do hand wash it as suggested. I want it to last a long time. My sister gave me my first one, as she uses them at her house and I loved using it. You won't be disappointed.

Love, Love, LOVE Rada knives! I took off one Star b/c it seems they have changed their manufacturing process or something. My first one, I used for at least 15 yrs w/o needing to sharpen it. Unfortunately, it was lost. These newer ones start off great, but I've had this one only since late '22 or early '23 & it's already dulling!
