Used the extension in combination with the CTEK comfort connect that I had installed on the battery. Ran the extension cable so that i could plug the in the charger in front of the car's grill. Works well and now I don't have to open the hood to plug in the charger.For the money It should have come with a dust cap, hence the one-star deduction. I was able to use the cap that came on the CTEK comfort connect cable that came with the unit. But still, it should come with a new one.

I ordered 3 items: CTEK MXS 5.0 battery charger and maintainer, this extension cable and the 12 volt adapter. Rather than sent to my home I had them delivered to a nearby Whole Foods store. Delivery was prompt, picking up at the store was easy and everything works as advertised. Very pleased with purchase!

I actually wish it was a bit longer, but it works well enough.
