Seems to perform just fine.
This item has been working fine .I have been trying different cooking methods, and wanted to make sure that safe temps were being reached.After several home brew tests, I trust that this device is at least accurate enough for home use .It is interesting to have a cross check against the oven thermometer, an independently mounted oven thermometer,and this "source point device".No human made device is fail proof, so , please continue to rely on your own judgement.I hope that everything you attempt to cook/bake turns out fine.

Best cheap thermometer!
I'm a professional chef. I cook for a high end restaurant and I've used many different styles/price ranges of thermometers. This one is hands down one the best and is so much cheaper. I honestly just bought it because my $80 insta read broke and I just needed a temporary replacement for work. But I will not be replacing this one. It works equally as well as the previous one I had. The only 2 negative things I can say about it are1. The probe is a little thicker than I'd like2. DO NOT use the temperature guide printed on it. You will absolutely ruin a steak if you're cooking it that hot

Works great!
This has been a lifechanger! I had held off on getting one of these for a long time but finally caved and got one! I am glad I got this one, it is really well designed, easy to use and accurate.
