I've been using this to treat the fencing for our garden. I thin it down about 50/50 with mineral spirits and just brush it on. If you don't thin it, it's VERY thick. I do it in very early spring because it smells like, well, pine tar. So I need a little time for the smell to go away. It's a tried and true way to protect exterior wood from weather damage. It will stain your wood a slightly dark color, but the color will fade back halfway with time. I apply it once per year.

Have used Bickmore for year for its quality. However delivery time has become much slower.

No complaints. I was shipped the 16 ounce size by mistake, but the seller made it right. I was expecting another 16 ounce can, but was sent a 32 ounce can and told to keep the original 16 ounce that was sent by mistake.

Bickmore Pine Tar is excellent for soap making.

I ordered this to treat axe and hammer handles, and it does seem to do the job there. It's supposed to have some veterinary medical uses too. What we didn't expect was to find an enormous warthog stuck to some rags in the trash we had used for cleanup. Wow, is this stuff STICKY! (The bacon was good too.)

This is real pine tar and is excellent. Its hard to find pure pine tar that is not adulterated. This is probably the best value for pure pine tar on Amazon. I used it for homemade soap and it is excellent. Don't expect it to smell like "pine tar" soaps you get from other places. It is concentrated and most of those soaps dont use real pine tar.
