Homeopathic Psychology: Personality Profiles of the Major Constitutional Remedies

I was looking for info on a constitutional remedy and stumbled upon an online preview of this book. As 'luck' would have it, the preview had the chapter on the needed remedy in its entirety (though most other chapters were missing from the preview). I got what I needed, so I didn't really need the book anymore, but I was SO impressed that I ordered it anyway!I agree with the other reviewers - this book is hard to put down! I have nearly finished the whole book, even though most of the remedies did not apply to anyone I know. It is exceedingly well-written and details the subtle differences between the remedies. I especially liked how he mentioned other remedies in each chapter, further clarifying the differences between several remedies which might confuse the practitioner at first glance.I am absolutely blown away by this book! I'm not a practitioner, so I cannot comment on the accuracy of the info from a clinical perspective, but I can say that his descriptions were uncannily accurate, on the several remedies that matched my loved ones. I have a keen, personal interest in Homeopathy, and have read only a few books on constitional remedies, but so far, this blows them all away! By far the most in-depth Homeopathy book I've ever read!I was also impressed with the author's knowledge of and correlations with mythological archetypes, which proved very useful.If I may be so bold, I would venture to say that practitioners would find much of value in this book, even if they disagree with some of the author's observations.

I have only looked at a few pages to quickly inspect the book after shipping. First impression - there's a lot of print per page so no skimping with wide margins. The print is more gray than black. At first I thought this would be an issue but it actually seems easier on the eyes. Don't know if this is intentional or just print quality.The book opened up (interestingly enough) on a characteristic of a lessor known constitutional type that really drew my attention. I was immediately fascinated and began reading it right out of the pkg. The writing style is very engaging. I don't know if the book is accurate yet but it certainly doesn't seem like a dry read.

This is hands down the most fascinating book on homeopathy I have read. It brings the whole paradigm full circle in understanding

Well this felt like a book made for me. It described in clear compassionate detail the psychological ways we cope with life. My own families dynamics were clearly shown. This knowledge in and of itself was hugely empowering, even without having taken any remedy. Needless to say I am not a practitioner, but a lay person interested to understand the why of my own emotionality. Compelling reading. Could not put the book down.

I'm not a homeopath, so I can not judge the accuracy of the descriptions of the constitutuonal types. I can say that the book drawns you into it and it really makes Homeopathy a living subject. But I wonder if Hahnemann would approve that a professional homeopath should limit his scope to the 35 constitutional types, described here.In the homeopathy, there are more than thousand remedies and each has a mental picture that could be your constitutional remedy too.But as a client of a classical homeopath, I can tell you that many professional homeopaths miss the clue when you only have slight mental complains and it's then that they fail to recognise the similimum. So I think that they should study the mental pictures more in detail and I belive that this book could be an asset.

I have read snippets of the various constitutions as determined by homeopathy, but wanted to learn more about them, to understand them much more in depth. This is the perfect book for that. Very detailed prose on many of the constitutions, with interpretations and brief case details from the author's homeopathic and psychiatric practice. This is the book if you want to be making more accurate constitution determinations. I read it cover to cover as it was so interesting.

With the aid of this book i managed to treat myself for two chronic and debilitating conditions. I owe it my life - literally. It provides a much deeper analysis of some very important remedies, many of which are sadly overlooked but other books on the subject.It helped me to find Sepia with which to treat endometriosis, and Medorrhinum which i used successfully to treat chronic hives and associated allergies. This book inspired me so much I have began professional training to be a homeopath.

If I'd acquired this knowledge of personalities in my 20 my whole life would have been different. I would not have wasted my time and life and health on unavailable men like Tuberculinum, I would have made better choices regarding my own path and would not have judged myself so harshly for being who I am.This stuff should be taught in high schools, regardless of effectiveness, or not, of homeopathy.So much better than astrological profiling, way more accurate.Brilliant writing, concise and clear.
