Great movie . Saw it in theaters and pre ordered this one

This is a very entertaining and well-made action movie. The grenade and flamthrower sequences will go down as some of the best put to film. It expands on the lore of the John Wick universe while also establishing a new character with their own story of revenge. Unlike John Wick, which enters the world of a fully trained assassin, this film highlights the training process of assassins, the tests they face, the tattoos they earn, etc. I like the fact that it exists within the same universe, but I wish John Wick could have just been left out of it. By attaching that character to this film, everyone wants to use that as a target to say this movie is somehow less. It is just different. It was an absolute riot. Once the second act starts, it flies by. I was never bored, and I was shocked at how fast the two hours moved by on the screen—tons of fun.

If I would rate this movie on its own it would be 4 stars for all the action. As far as plot it is too predictable; bad guys kill daddy little girl gets revenge. Now compared to the original 4 John wick movies this one falls short. As the original 4 movies is a whole movie divided in 4 parts. This one its an introduction to a new assassin but I don’t know how she will fit in on a next movie maybe she will join forces with Pine. Pine also a new character in the JW world. There are many options for expansion that could be interesting like the story of the bowery king, Caine, Mia, Koji Shimazu, Akira Shimazu, Sofia Al-azwar, Mr. Nobody, The Director (Ruska Roma). As for Eve Macarro ( Ana de Armas) she is pretty to look at and can do some action. This role was a bit different this is John Wick Action and she did ok, it wasn’t bad but compared to Halle Berry (Sofia Al-Azwar) I think she needs more work but she was not bad. I think the producers need to think what will their next move be, they need to study things a bit more and make the next one a bit more relevant, instead of pumping out new characters. This franchise is big more than anyone expected and they need to keep interesting if not it will fade. They got the action scenes down, special effects, props, scenery and directing but need more work on the stories and how they are relevant and interweave with John Wick. If you are a fan you will be ok with it. If you are not a fan you will like the action, if you are from the Baba Yaga cult you will find the faults but still enjoy the movie; it will be your least favorite out of the 5 movies.

Amazing expansion of the John Wick universe! Goes to show the Ruska Roma creates the best assassins! Great job by Ana D'Armas to expand the lore and the legacy of the John Wick universe.

I think the movie is between 3 and 4 stars, will give it 4.I saw it last night in the movie theater. It was fast paced, packed with action and yet not as captivating as John Wick is.I am a major John Wick fan so I am biased. Was good but comparing it to John Wick- meh just okay.Spoilers:I liked the fact that they used scenes and lines very similar to ones from the John Wick movies and her theme song is inspired by his.I like the appearance of some familiar characters from John Wick.I liked John’s appearance and the fight scenes. I’m glad they gave him the credit in these scenes.Obv there is an open ending and I assume based on how well it does there is a chance for a second, third, etc.I do feel that the character needed a bit more character development before going rogue on her own.I disliked the fact that I saw one character from John wick one, again, as a different character here. Most people won’t remember but like I said I am a fan and I watched his movies several times. So that detail was not so great for me.The plot itself is okay but not great. We are introduced to some other group of bad guys but they don’t get very much background. Also when the random guy attacks her (after she finishes a job) why? We never get an explanation for that. And not much detail about her family although in the beginning they introduce her family as an important thing. ESP her father.Also when she gets to the ruska roma the kiri kiri monster ( or whatever it was called/spelled) - meh let John be the Baba yaga without bringing other mithology creatures into play - not every assassin needs to be one, lol.Overall okay.I expect some of these new groups of villains into the next John Wick movie - I heard there will be another one, not sure about that though. We’ll see.
