Excellent product.Using Hawkins cooker in my house for more than 45 years.This is my 5th purchase from Hawkins.This contura cooker is less time consuming, whistle blows very soon and due to its wide mouth it is easier to fry and cook.For a busy day it is a great help in the kitchen.I cook rice, pulao, biriyani, mutton and all sorts of dal, peas, rajma, chana etc.Point to remember please follow some minimum instructions given in the cookbook.Do not add too much of water in any type of cooker as it might overflow.This is from my personal experience of all this year's. Hawkins is my personal love.Great value for money.Thank you amazon for the beautiful product.

Very nice.Though they claim hard anodized is not nonstick, it can be very much nonstick if you know how to use it. and you can use metal spoons with no worry.I expect this to last a very long time. Using it past 2 years and no complaints.A flatter shape of the cooker would have been better, it is tall and you have to be directly above it to see inside of it.It is a little pricey though.

I recently bought the Hawkins Contura Black Pressure Cooker, and I’m really happy with it. It has a nice black finish that makes my kitchen look good. The cooker feels strong and is made from good aluminum, so it heats food evenly.Using it is quite simple. The handles are easy to hold and stay cool, which makes it safe to use. I’m not a very experienced cook, but the instructions are clear, and I’ve been able to make rice, dal, and even some curries without any issues. Everything comes out tasty!Cleaning is easy too. The non-stick surface means I can just wipe it down after cooking, which saves time. I usually just wash it by hand, and it doesn’t take long at all.Overall, the Hawkins Contura Black Pressure Cooker is a great buy for anyone who wants to prepare meals quickly and easily. I’m glad I got it, and I would recommend it to others looking for a reliable pressure cooker!

I already had Hawkins 3litres FUTURA & "it" being an very important part in my kitchen I, was in search of a SMALL SIZE COOKER for my kitchen as...since d year 2019 till date, using many different Cooking tactics, I m unable to get "WELL COOKED DALS as well as PULSES" @ Nalasopara. I had "short listed Hawkins Small size Ceramic Cooker as well as this CONTURA & finally I purchased Hawkins 1.5litres Contura & m 100% a HAPPY -SATISFIED "AILING Sr. Citizen". Both these Hawkins Products r my Amazon.in Purchases & m glad that v hve Variety of OPTIONS on Amazon.in for Short-listing the items in our Wish-List/s & then finally opting to purchase our desired product.Being a totally bed-ridden Sr.Citizen, it's absolutely impossible for me to go SHOPPING in LOCAL SHOPS- MALLS but...Amazon.in is a boon to me. I get variety of products with their prices. Not only that I get d opportunity of COMPARING them with other Products on the Browser itself. What else a bed-ridden Sr. Citizen need more?Amazon.in's Customer Care Executives along with their entire Staff-Team of all their faculties are very prompt & efficient. Delivery, Return-Replace/Refund Policies, the facility of Amazon Pay /Wallet are hassel free. Only PROBLEMATIC THING is CONTACTING Amazon.in & their IVR SYSTEM asking the Customer/s to "Press 1, 2,3,bla-bla-bla!" It's almost DISGUSTING, RIDICULOUS & TIME WASTING. I received a pressure cooker with manufacturing defect. We have the same one at our other residence and it works normally. So I bought the same model. This one did not produce whistles. Sometimes when it did, it took 40 whistles to cook chana that was soaked overnight and 10 whistles for masoor dal soaked for 2 hours. Service station is far away. I even got the gasket and whistle replaced by paying extra money. But it was of no use. I could not return it back as the return window had closed.Writing this review after 8 months. I finally bought a new pressure cooker of a different brand and having outer lid.
