Worth it!
Your browser does not support HTML5 video. These are dope as heck. Easy to install, they've lasted for a few rides now, and they look really slick. Obviously if you're not going fast enough, only part of the wheel will look lit up. But it still looks REALLY COOL! I took a video for folks to see what it looks like at night at high speed and as it slows down.

Kids can't ride fast enough to see the patterns.
If you want these for an adult riding FAST around town and don't really care if the pattern is very visible then great. If you want them for kids bikes for riding around a campground or neighborhood at normal kid speeds to show off, then you would be better off getting lights that didn't flash or change patterns. A solid light on the spoke would look cooler than the flashing, changing patterns. If the patterns were held on for more than a fraction of a second, you would MAYBE have a chance to see it as the kids rode, but unfortunately they flash too quick to really see any pattern at a normal kid speed (I'm talking an 11 yr old going as quick as they can on a flat road). And unfortunately, there is no option to change the speed of the flashing pattern so that the light is held on longer.

These work and look exactly like the photos
These work and look exactly like the photos. 1 AAA battery each included. Easy 2 minute install once you realize which way the screw has to go. Keep in mind they are not visible in the day, and to see the full pattern you must be really moving on your bike, otherwise it's less than the full circle pattern. Regardless, it is a great product and my son was thrilled. Mounting hardware is plastic so do not over tighten.

Really Cool and Visible!
OMG, these are awesome. I'm a hit wherever I ride at night. People yell, "I love your wheels!" or "I love your lights!" The only thing to know is, do not expect these perfect designs to show up solidly like the pics, because you have to travel very, very fast to make that happen (I think around 12 mph?). Other than that, they take common batteries (AAA), and work great. Good that you can turn them off during the day or when you're not riding to save juice, because you will rip through AAA batteries fast. I have to replace them about once weekly, but I ride about 8 miles every night.

Great for making yourself seen if you're riding in the dark.
With it being a brutal summer, I wanted to get my long weekend bike rides started sooner before the sun came up so I could be inside before the brutal TX heat really kicked in.However, that meant heading out in the dark. While the area I ride in is generally respectful of cyclists, that's a moot point if they can't see you. I have the typical rear taillight for general riding. But I wanted more since it would be pitch black. An Amazon search turned these up. I took a chance and have used them almost 10 times, for close to 800 miles. So far they've worked great. They definitely light up the wheels. They aren't super bright, but bright enough for any car to see me at night. If I was riding in the day with these, they aren't bright enough and get washed out by the sun. So they don't provide any additional safety once the sun is up. But that's OK, too.Installation is easy enough, and the batteries have lasted thus far. Overall I'm highly satisfied. It gives me more confidence when riding in the dark. I feel lit up like a Christmas Tree with these and other lights I've installed. If I get run over by a car, it won't be because I wasn't seen. Highly recommended.

Good for being safe and looking awesome!
Your browser does not support HTML5 video. This definitely makes you visible when it is dark. It is a fun idea. Super easy to install and turn on. Have not had any problems with it falling off.I like that it takes a single AAA battery that is included. Most bike stuff takes those flat batteries that are hard to find. It is nice to know that when the battery runs out I can easily get a new one.

Pretty good with some caveats
I like these but they do not make any patterns. Directions say you have to be going 18 mph for patterns. Most people do not ride at that pace. They do change as you ride though but the tires are not in sync at all. They were easy to install and stay in place. The batteries they come with maybe lasted for 3 hours of riding tops when the description says they can last up to 12. Be sure to turn them off when you get to your final nighttime destination otherwise they will flash when you are riding during the day when they aren't really visible and therefore waste your batteries. The motion detection aspect does seem to work well. Batteries are easy to change and only uses 1 AAA in each. Eye-catching.

Happy grandson!
i had written a negative review but after some contact with the seller it appears it was my misreading of the item description. The light is fantastic and works well. Grandson loves it. The only problem I had was ithe screws to attach it to the spokes was not long enough and didn’t fit his fat tire spokes. Easily remedied with a couple of zip ties and works great
