Does this timer make any noise at end of time

Yep... makes a ringing sound. To arm it you have to turn the full circle and then back to the amount of time you need which is a bit odd but it does work :)

Does the timer ticks?

My mother says that the tick is heard if you hold it up to your ear to check that it is working, like a watch, but it is not intrusive.... Very cute!

Is the alarm too loud?

No it not a loud alarm ring, I love it and really cute.
