Perfect!
Bought this to maximize carry-on capacity for a recent International trip. It worked great. Held everything I wanted it to and, as per description, fit under the seat on our United Airlines flights.

Outstanding for flying and cruises
Purchased for cross country flight and cruise. Meets United Airways carry on dimensions. Slides easily under the airline seat. Sturdy and waterproof with well made handles and seams. Opens flat with inside pockets, multiple outside pockets and tablet access from the top. I was able to put a change of clothes, makeup, my tablet and my small purse inside with room for more. . Highly recommend!!

maximize storage, not very comfortable
I wanted a backpack that fits under the airplane seat and can store as many things as possible. this meets the requirements and it's cheap. a slim 14 inch laptop can fit in the laptop compartment, but getting it back out requires me to mostly empty the backpack. just don't expect it to be that comfortable if you need to wear it while exploring on your travels. it's just not that comfortable. there are other backpacks that cost more and may not store as many items, but they are more comfortable than this one. if you're just gonna go through a couple airports and leave the backpack at a hotel most of the time it's perfectly acceptable.

Perfect for personal bag on plane
Loved the storage and loved the pocket on the inside of the back for safe passport storage. Worked perfect for United.

Zipper issues
This backpack worked for my recent trip abroad but I noticed several times the zipper started to come apart. I was able to re zipper the section that kept doing it but it made me nervous the whole trip. As for space it is quite spacious but there is not enough organization as I would like.
