Good value

We have a wood burner but it is quite a compact one. Up to now. I’ve always had a bit of a problem when buying kindling wood as it is mostly too long.This means I’m forever cutting the kindling down to a size that will comfortably fit inside our burner.The kindling in these bags are just the right length. No more will I have a mish mash of lengths sticking up in all directions.The wood is quite good quality for kindling, and it’s not too damp. Most shows up at around 15-25% on my meter but after a while in my log basket indoors I don’t think they will remain a problem for long.It doesn’t spit or smoke so it’s pretty good at getting the fire lit. It only takes about half a dozen pieces at a time to get the fire started and then the logs take over.These 8 bags should last me a few months.The price asked is about average these days and they come securely wrapped in strong netting so won’t spill out.I’m pleased with them.

Ordered 8 recieved 9. Can't complain at that. Well packed lovely and dry. Burns well, but fast so doesn't last that long. Good quality 👌

Kindling received nothing like the picture. Instead of 8 netted massive looking bags I received 9 tiny plastic ones with the kindling compacted into an area of less than 25cm x 25cm x 12cm. A note accompanying the package said that they were including an extra bag to make sure that the kindling "exceeded" the 20kg promised. Well, at about 1.8kg a bag it doesn't take Rachel Riley to work out that 9 bags are not going to exceed 20kg. The note included an email address to contact Dawsons Garden Supplies in the event of any issues - I emailed them immediately asking them to send me the additional kindling but, disappointingly, never heard so much as a peep from them.

So handy and it is great to have, makes life so much easier, good price and I would definitely buy again. Thank you.

Rather disappointed in the size of the 'large' nets, they're not even a foot long.Also, the total weight of my 8 bags was only 17.5 Kg and not 20 Kg as stated in the listing (A whole bag's worth short assuming they are supposed to be 2.5Kg per bag).I realise it's a natural product and weight can vary but I wonder how often it varies in the customer's favour, so customers get 22.5 Kg when they pay for 20Kg?
