Upgraded version shows a wider area than prior version
I absolutely love my ring doorbell camera! I had an earlier model that was purchased in approximately 2022, but I’m glad I upgraded to this one because it does show a large larger area, both horizontally and vertically. Coincidence, the day after I installed this there was a break-in in my neighborhood, and the police were able to see an apprehend the suspect based on my ring camera! I live in a nice neighborhood and did not think I was buying it for safety! I purchased it on sale for $50 and it was definitely money. Well spent! I even went as far to purchase one for my daughter and my bonus daughter! The quality is great, the monthly plan is under $11, and within 24 hours of installation, I already helped the police solve a crime! Highly recommend…. Especially if you have young children or young adult children or live alone!

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Reliable, Easy to Install, and Worth It
I bought this Ring Battery Doorbell a few days ago, and I’m honestly impressed with how simple it was to set up. The app walks you through everything step by step, and I had it up and running in under 30 minutes without needing any wiring. The video quality is sharp (even at night), and I really like the head to toe view because I can see packages sitting right at my doorstep. The motion alerts come through quickly, and the two way audio works perfectly from testing.Battery life has been solid so far. I’ve had quite a few motion detections and it’s still holding up well. Plus, the Venetian Bronze finish looks sleek and blends in nicely with my doorframe.Overall, if you’re looking for peace of mind without the hassle of complicated installation, this doorbell is a great choice. Definitely worth the price for the convenience and security it adds.

Not totally reliable
UPDATE: I had a call with Z, a Ring Support representative. She walked me through changing some settings. This seems to have fixed the problem. The picture is better than expected. Good sound. Pleasant chime.I live in an apartment complex so I have is in an “anti theft” holder, mostly because i didn’t want to damage the door. This affects its view field. If you’re not in front of the door it can’t see you. Which is fine since I wanted it for people coming up to the door.Generally it goes off every time someone walks by but they are passing out of view by the time it starts recording. Which I’m okay with since they’re just walking by.The 3 stars is because when someone is directly in front of the door it doesn’t always go off. How do I know this?I have found business cards taped to my door - no ring activity.I have gone out of my door no ring activity.People passing the door going one way then minutes later the same person passing the same way. There’s no way to leave that part of the building without passing my door. So why didn’t it pick them up leaving? Also I signed up for a subscription within days i on f getting the thing. Why am I still getting pop ups to sign up for a subscription?I’m not sorry I got it. But don’t think it’s 100% reliable because it’s not.

Great quality for a cheap price compared to other systems!
I switched to ring from Xfinity home and I couldn’t be happier. The ring plans are cheaper and the equipment is cheaper but better quality! I’ve had no issues so far with my system and I was able to install everything in less then an hour. Doorbells took 5 mins to install two of them. The video and audio quality is clear and consistent. You can adjust your camera zones if you live on a busy street with a lot of traffic so you don’t get 1000s of notifications and I hooked mine up to my Alexa so I don’t have a need for the chime function. Night vision is great quality also. i would highly recommend to everyone!

Bad camera no support or return options
Update : I am working with an extremely nice representative from ring to resolve the issue. Will update this review after solution but upgrading to 4 stars pending results.I bought my first ring doorbell camera in 2024. It set up and has ran without issue so I decided to buy another one to place at my back door. It worked until about a month ago , when it went offline and would not reconnect to my Wi-Fi. I removed and reinstalled the defective camera, checked settings, checked my router settings, etc. Nothing helped, not even a brand new router. All my other ring devices work on this same network without issue. I decided to try to return or replace it ( it said I had until 2026) and it would not let me finish the return , instead asking me to “contact support “ or try trouble shooting suggestions I gave been trying for the last month. Buy with caution, if you get a good camera it will be great , but when they have random issues it appears you can’t get support or a return .

Ding Dong...Who's There? Now I Know Who....
I've hesitated on going the Ring route for quite a while but am very happy I took the plunge! The doorbell works great and I love how it detects motion right away. There doesn't seem to be any lag time in the picture and from what I can tell, it is well built and made to last. It was a snap to get my phone and my Alexas/Echos hooked to it so if I'm cooking, doing dishes or otherwise occupied, I can look at my Echo 15 and see who's at my door instead of having to grab my phone or head to the door right away. It's compatible with smart phones and devices.

Excellent Smart Doorbell – Great Peace of Mind
I've been using the Ring Doorbell Camera for a few weeks now, and I'm seriously impressed. Setup was straightforward and only took me about 20 minutes from unboxing to being fully functional. The app walks you through everything, and the instructions are easy to follow. The video is sharp, even at night. The night vision mode is surprisingly clear, and I can easily see faces and details. Very responsive! You can adjust sensitivity in the app so it’s not constantly alerting you every time a car drives by. It also allows you to customize zones, which helped reduce false alarms. I love the two-way audio. There is a subscription required for storing videos, which I expected. It’s not too expensive and it's worth it for the security alone. I feel a lot better knowing I can see who’s at the door—whether I’m home or not.Highly recommend if you're looking for a reliable, user-friendly smart doorbell.
