Dell WD15 Monitor Dock 4K with 130W Adapter, USB-C, (450-AFGM, 6GFRT)

I own two of these, and they work perfectly for what I need, which is to single-cable dock my laptop into:- dual 1920x1200 monitors- USB mouse, keyboard, camera, two external hard drives- external speakers- power (this will power a modern Dell laptop)Much cheaper than more modern _powered_ alternatives, and I trust the supplied Dell power brick with my Dell laptop more than a no-name version.I don't have 4k monitors, and speed faster than usb3 has not been an issue for me.My only negative is that I wish the cable to the laptop was not hard-wired to the hub, since, when the cable on my original one broke (after many years), I had to replace the whole unit.Note that adapters to/from DVI/Displayport/HDMI are cheap (and the signal lossless) and will turn this into a dual HDMI hub (or in my case, dual DVI).

The hub works great for my use case. It comes with a long and strong USB-C output, which is hard to find among typical hubs on the market, as well as its 130W power adapter. The hub also works with my QHD+FHD monitors without a problem.More importantly, the seller is willing work for the question you may have. It worked perfectly, even though it seems to be an older version (reason why it was so cheap). I only missed the C-ports newer versions have, but with a simple adaptor, I made it work. Thanks!

I got a refurbished unit and paid less than $30 for mine. At that price point, it's excellent value.What it DOES NOT do:It doesn't support 4K at 60 Hz, it only supports 4K at 30Hz.What it DOES:Charges modern laptops via USB COffers plenty of connections, including three SuperSpeed USB ports.Why I'm keeping it:This dock resolves one big problem for me: dropped USB connections. My previous hub (which was more expensive) kept dropping USB connections. This dock's connections are pretty solid so far. For $25 I was spared from replacing my webcam AND getting a more expensive dock in the $200 range.While this dock doesn't deliver 4K60, it's not a deal breaker for me as I have a cable to plug directly to my laptop.If you're buying this, I think refurbished is the way to go. Mine arrived in excellent condition and at that price it's an excellent value. If you're buying new, there are other options out there with better monitor support that are worth checking out.Update:If you have a power-hungry laptop, this might report slow a slow charger during actual charging. Once the laptop is charged though, it reports the power source as normal.

I am happy with the ease of set up and works great. The USB-C connection and other ports work well with my Dell Inspiron 16 (5635), dual monitors and peripherals.

The box was dented, had an old label that had been ripped off, and although the seal was still in place, the box had been cut open and taped over. All of the inside packaging had been previously opened and the wiring was sloppily wound in the plastic bags. The unit itself has a few small scratches, but seems to work fine. Not totally happy with the way it was received, especially since it was supposed to be "new."Adding on to my initial review: 2 days in, the dock stopped working. Very aggravated. Now I HAVE to return it.
