Airhead GNAR Child and Infant Kwik-Dry Neolite Flex Life Jacket, US Coast Guard Approved

This is a really nice kids life jacket. The material is soft and not scratchy. Love the color 😍

First airhead life jacket purchase and I will only buy Airhead from now on. Absolutely love the quality and comfort of this life vest, I ended up buying the same one for the whole family.

Compared to other brands this fits the best. Also, people giving one star because child can’t be unattended, to me, are ignorant to the fact that children should NEVER be unattended around water. This is a great life jacket. Will see about longevity.

I just added two each of the Infant, Child and Youth size PFDs to use on a commercial tour boat, in addition to the USCG requirement for commercial boats to carry Type I Offshore PFDs for all passengers. In Florida, children nunder 6 are required to wear a Type I,II or III PFD at all times when underway and Infants are required to wear a Type I or II. And dependant on distance offshore, children under 13 are also required to wear PFDs.The Type I Offshore jackets are a USCG minimum requirement, for commercial vessels to carry, for all passengers on board and of an appropriate size. However, as long as Type I PFDs are on board, additional Type II, III or IV PFDs may be carried and worn instead.Type I PFDs are not very comfortable to wear for any length of time for those required to wear one, and we know how fussy those under 6 and especially under 3 can be. Rather than have charter guests provide their own for thker children, I ordered these as a more comfortable option and solution for use whole on the boat or playing in the water. They were immediately put into service after receipt and the kids loved wearing them. The gende neutral graphic design and color pattern, make this ideal for for families with both multiple children, a mix of boys and girls this universal and matching design among sizes is both professional looking and gives the kids have one less thing they could fight about while spending otherwise fun family time together on the water.After swimming, they clean up easily and dry fairly quick while in the sun. Overall a great pick for both recreational use and in commercial use if in addition to carrying the required Type I Offshore.

I previously bought a lifejacket that claimed it was coast guard approved when it wasn't. So I had to go buy a second actually approved one before our boat trip. This one was approved and also very comfortable. My kid wore it all day without complaint! I have the infant style for my littler kid and like that one as well. The price felt a little high but I guess that's just where the actually approved lifejackets tend to be.

Love the colors and the neoprene fabric. And that it has the head pillow for added safety. Our 1 year old grandson wore it all day without fussing. Hope it still fits him this summer. Great purchase.

Fits comfortably and is lightweight. Only downside is that it holds water and does not dry out in the sun quickly.

I’m happy with the fabric and floatation of this life jacket for my toddler son. I have him wear it when we are near the lake or on a canoe. You can’t be too safe when near water, it’s a leading cause of death in small children. He protests when I put it on but is comfortable within minutes and wears it the whole time. Recommended. Much nicer than the cheaper ones, by feel.
