Levi's Women's 501 Mid Thigh Short

I love the way these look but they are not sit down shorts if that makes sense..I love the wash, I love the way they look and feel, they can be cuffed at the bottom and still be the perfect length, they do wonders for the bottom, and pretty comfortable until I sit lol I’ll keep them because that’s the only issue. Great fit, very flattering. I am curvy with wide hips, large butt and thicker thighs and these shorts fit so well around all the bits. I appreciated that the shorts did not dig into my skin in the thighs while sitting and have a nice stretch to them when bending down or sitting. I ordered them on a prime day sale, but would absolutely order them full price because these are quality, comfortable Jean shorts.Fit:Loose, but not frumpy Comfort:Very comfortable for shortsLength:Good length — especially for moms

In reading many other reviews, I was under the impression that these would run very small. I’ve experienced other Levi’s shorts that did run small, so I originally ordered these two sizes above my normal size. Note that the color was the Pleased To Meet You dark wash. When those were way too big I tried ordering again only one size up and still too big. So I ended up making a third order of my normal size and they fit perfectly. I’m wondering if it depends on the color, which you would have no way of knowing if the color you wanted would run small. I gave 4 starts for lack of clarity on sizing, but otherwise these are great. Super flattering, they are perfectly high waisted and hit at the right spot on the thigh to make legs look slender and long, are a good length but don’t look like Bermuda’s. They’re 100% cotton and do have a little give in the fabric, and aren’t as stiff as I was expecting based on other reviews. Very comfortable. Love the button fly.

Got a good price on these! I’m normally a size 28 and sized up to a 30 and they fit just right. Does run small, and material doesn’t stretch so i recommend sizing up. They feel durable and a pair that will last long.

I originally bought my normal size (27) and had to start a return because I could not get it past my thighs. I’m 5’3 and 130 lbs. I’m not huge but I am busty and a mother. I started off with 1 Star, but I exchanged them for 2 sizes bigger. Now they fit perfectly. They don’t have any stretch to them so beware if you do get your size. They’re comfortable. I really like the color and I can wear it with a fitted shirt, or baggy shirt. It’s perfect for the summer and when I sit down it doesn’t squeeze me hardly at all.Make sure you size up a size or two if you want a relaxed fit.

I really wanted to love these. Seeing them on some of the other girls I was super excited to order. I’m not sure if it’s my height or body shape but they were just awkward in the length and fit, especially on my butt.They do run true to size. I am 5’3 175 and ordered a size 32. I ended up returning because I just know I wouldn’t wear them.

I am super impressed by these shorts! They are my favorite summer shorts. I didn’t know if they would be flattering on my shape, I’m 4’11 but am pear shaped and have bigger thighs because I lift. But these fit so perfectly! There’s a stretch to it and are so comfortable. It hits perfectly mid thigh even if I’m short. Just love these, and the quality. Favorite, definitely should be a staple in every closet. I definitely want more colors!

I purchased these in two different sizes and colors. The darker pair is a SIZE 30 in the color (NEW) MULTIPLE CHOICE, while the lighter pair in a SIZE 29 in the color (NEW) TAKE OFF. For sizing reference, I'm 5'3", currently 145 lbs with measurements about 40"-30"-40" (bust-waist-hip), and I'm wearing size 4-6 in jeans or a medium in bottoms in most brands right now. Another random note but I have a shorter torso with longer legs (proportionally), aka I rarely wear short length in pants and even mid-rise bottoms hit pretty high waisted on me.For the sizing, I would say they’re about the same as their normal 501s, meaning they run a little small, especially if you have larger hips or butt. I comfortably fit into a size 6/28 in most brands of jeans, even in some Levi’s, but I went up 1 and 2 sizes in these. The denim is thicker and stiffer, and since they’re shorts, I’d just rather they be looser than tight. The 29 fit tighter but was still not too tight; I had room in the thighs and some in the waist, but I did find they were a little tighter in the waist than I wanted, especially when sitting. The size 30 was a tad looser than I prefer, but I would rather that than too tight, so I stuck with those; I have quite a bit of room in the waist, so they’re more comfortable to sit in. I have thick thighs from years of soccer and found both sizes pretty forgiving in that area, even with the solid hem on these two colors (I was worried it would be stiff). I can sit without looking like my legs are being cut in half, lol.As for the style, I love the length! They’re just long enough to hide the back of the thighs but not so long they look like men’s shorts or Bermuda style, and they protect the upper inner thigh where most of us tend to chafe. You can roll or cut them if you want them a bit shorter. I do think these make me look a bit like a mom (which I’m not), but that’s OK, haha. Another note is that they sit really high on my waist, but like I mentioned in the beginning, that’s a common problem for me as a torso-lacking girl. The description says it sits below the waist, so I guess they’re supposed to be mid-rise. Who knows? Not me.As for the material, like I mentioned, they are a thick, durable denim with a tiny bit of softness but not a lot of stretch. They’ll eventually loosen and soften after some wearing and washing, but they’ll be stiff for a while, and the button fly doesn’t help, so keep that in mind. I personally wouldn’t wear these out if I knew I would be doing a ton of sitting, but I’d have no problem otherwise. On the bright side, I’m sure these will last years and years of wear, only getting better with age.As far as the colors, they’re both great closet staples. Multiple Choice is a standard medium denim shade, while Take Off is a lighter wash that looks worn in and actually feels a hair softer. They’re both safe choices, depending on what you’re looking for.Overall, I definitely recommend these to anyone looking for a longer style of shorts. Just remember that you may want to consider sizing up.
