Keeps out the bad dust, and doesn't fog up.
Really like this mask. I'm a big guy, with a big head and this fits comfortably. Also, I sweat a lot, usually causing figging inside the mask. Not with this. I use a lot of reclaimed metal to make things and the metal is usually piwdercoated. You can see the filters grabbing that, even after a short time of using them. The amount of grinding dust I've inhaled in my life is probly scary.

Fits just ok
The media could not be loaded. I think this will really vary how it fits.We used it to paint our home to test it out. At the beginning it did fit tightly but as the day continued the straps were getting loose. It was a VERY hot day and I'm not sure if that's what it affected the material but the mask started moving around and when we tried to tightening again the straps had been moved. The filter worked great and did not get to smell the paint fumes at all.Really like it!

Effective and Comfortable
I tested it out briefly, and I can say that it works against paint fumes. It has a snug fit, and was able to keep fumes out from the sides. So it seems effective against the paint and construction advisories on the box. I suggest that someone who just receives this for the first time try it on soon and get familiar with it. Anyway, it seems to work well, and is quality built.

Military grade is better quality, which is saying something
This is probably good in a pinch or for basic home projects that are short lived but definitely not for something long term or significant hazards. The rubber gasket that goes against the face has gaps that are not related to sizing (which there is no size option with this mask) which means that any particles can easily bypass the filters. The straps are decent and tighten quite well actually. If you're bald and sweat from your head, I'd suggest a bandana or beanie because these are silicone/rubber base. The second they get wet, they will likely loosen and break the seal.Generally speaking, this mask was fairly comfortable to wear. Not sure for how long, I didn't make beyond maybe 20 seconds simply because I didn't feel like it (just being honest) and I only do occasional woodworking/painting/auto work/etc.The full vision screen is phenomenal and appreciated. Having peripheral vision is a must, especially when wearing a mask like this. You've got so much bulk attached to your face that not being able to see fully can sometimes cause a bit of panic or anxiety and this eliminates that. Not to mention, you can actually see what you're doing!

Hope I never have to use it for survival
This can be used for things other than survival situations, but if you purchase something that will work for the worst, you'll have no issues using it for those lesser than projects. Clean rooms, spray painting, more toxic gasses, etc...its not that heavy, so it shouldnt be heavier on your head. the straps are fairly comfortable. Has full sight, so nothing to narrow your vision. Overall, its a great item for a great price

Strap broke
The strap broke less than a week after purchasing and is not usable. Not good for a mask that should be of good quality to protect against paint spray

Fits & Seals Good. Incomplete Instruction Book.
First, don't expect to learn how to use this mask with the provided instruction book. The book is not much more than a quick guide to show how to put on the filters and to change the filters when you have trouble breathing thru the filter. After you get the filters installed, you need to loosen the straps up fully and put the mask on chin first and then slide the straps over your head Adjust the top two straps at the same time and then adjust the bottom two straps at the same time. When they feel comfortably snug, put each hand over each filter opening. If you can't breathe with your hands over the filters that means you have a proper seal. The screwed on port at the front center of the mask isn't mentioned at all in the quick instruction pamphlet. That is the exhalation valve, which is simply a check valve that opens only when you exhale and closes again so you are only breathing in thru the filter. The check valves are pretty maintenance free but should be inspected occasionally to make sure there isn't debris in it or something blocking it from fully closing, especially if you are having an issue getting a proper seal. When you remove the mask, just use a finger to hold open the bottom two straps to loosen the mask to remove. No need to loosen the top two straps. The package comes with 8 extra filters. It does not say in the instructions filter canister/cartridge or filter part numbers, but on the side of the cartridge M6001 CN. I looked up online and it seems these are 3M filters as they look just the same. The manufacturer could and should have put these simple details in their pamphlet. As for the product itself, it seems good. It has a good flexible face seal and good fit around my average size face. It does provide some basic instructions for proper storage to keep your mask in good working order to keep the seals from going bad.
