This has the fit and finish of a premium product and seats the controller well. The plastics for the battery are a little chunky requiring a bit of extra force to get the rechargeable battery pack and it's cover on, but you know it is secure when all is said and done.My only problem with this thing is the LED is SUPER bright. I don't know why manufacturers insist on such bright LEDs for all of their devices. I ended up using two layers of dimming film taped over the LED. (The film is meant to cling to flat plastics, so wouldn't grip this thing. I had to cut a square into a small piece of electrical tape to make the whole thing look clean and not hacky)The "feel" of the product is great and it charges the controllers as it is supposed to. I never have to worry that the controller isn't "seated" right. Additionally... it actually looks pretty good. I ended up buying 2.

So, this charger comes with the battery, the charger, and a new black battery cover for your controller. It has a micro usb port on the charger stand, and a fairly short micro usb to usb cable to plug into the Xbox to provide power to the charger. Everything has been working great for a few weeks now. I did make one modification to the stand. I put a piece of the thickest tape I could find over the charge status light because it is the brightest thing any human has ever invented ever. My xbox and TV are in my room, I finished playing for the night, set my controller on the stand, and went to bed. A few hours later I was instantly woken up by a blinding flood of green light that illuminated my entire room. My god was it unnecessarily bright. I really can't stress just how bright the green LED is.So, 5 stars for function of the unit itself, and I've never killed the battery while playing, even during longer play sessions. But -1 star because the green led woke me up, and now my otherwise very aesthetically good looking charger stand has a little strip of gorilla tape on it because I like sleeping.

Bought this stand as I liked its appearance and the fact that it’s for a single controller. Now when I do feel the need to own a additional controller I will need to buy a double charger but for now this one works great. Controller sits firmly in the dock and charges rather quickly. They must have changed the brightness settings f the led bulbs as mine isn’t nearly as bright as some of the pics show but it still works perfectly. Great choice for someone needing a single chargerEDIT7/1/2019: Bought a second controller and just bought a second of these aluminum stands as the quality and appearance is so good. Batteries charge rather quickly and they easily last for my longest playing sessions which are about 7hrs. Also the led light on my second one is also not extremely bright as other reviewers have brought up as an issue. I’m going to assume the manufacturer has changed the bulb brightness.

Update: After 7 months of use, I've been noticing in the past couple of weeks that the charger will let out a high pitch frequency sound sometimes when charging. Physically taking out and re-setting the controller will fix this issue, however, it has become more frequent as the weeks have gone on. It's annoying to have to go reset my controller in the cradle while watching TV/movie etc. I will likely see if I can get a replacement through the limited warranty as the product itself is quite good, but this high pitch sound seems like a one-off issue.Original Review: Bought as a replacement to my previous charging station - this one is better. I am however taking a single star off because the green LED is incredibly bright at night. If you are planning on having this in your room, use some tape to make the light more dull as it will light up the entire room. I suggest they use a low light LED that is visible during day but not as bright in darkness (like most bluray players etc have these days).

I use this for my Xbox One Controller that I use on my PC. The Battery fits very snug...like it's gonna take some work to get in. Its fine though, the battery life is amazing and the charging stand is sleek and charges fast and easy. My charging kit did include the modified battery door to allow charging. Its kind of packed in the box in an easy to miss way, so I think the people complaining about not getting their battery door didn't see it in the box and tossed it. Mine was hidden inside a part that looked like a divider.

For some reason with the battery out the cover fits but with it in the cover is about half a centimeter off I don't understand why this is doesn't work with my elite either even though some say it worked with theirsEDIT: so after 20 minutes of fiddling I finally managed to get the cover on the back of the controller albeit with a bit of brute Force and I set the stand up all nice to find out the controllers weight isn't even enough to push the pins down properly so it works as a stand but won't charge unless you apply extra pressure once again tried with 3 different controller types wtf kinda rip off is this Amazon

I'm not sure what some of you are doing wrong but the charge base does work well with the elite controller. But you have to use the battery and cover that comes with the charger.I do have one complaint. I purchased 2 chargers (with batteries included) but the batteries are not lasting as advertised. After a full charge, I only seem to be getting 2-3 constant hours out of my battery before it goes dead and "reconnect controller " appears on my television.I'm not sure if I have 2 bad batteries (unlikely but possible) but I need a resolution.

I really surprised by this product. Battery life is great - I have done a few 10 hour sessions while beta testing and this battery just keeps on going. Battery fits way better and more snug that a standard rechargeable from Microsoft or Energizer. The stand feels heavier and quality, and it charges quickly - not to mention - looks very nice on the desk - I will absolutely buy another when my Energizer dual station dies in the living-room! Rock on Amazon!
