Nice
Good quality, solid piece of kit. Very easy to use and the coarse/fine dial actually works!

It's all in the grind Sizemore
The media could not be loaded. The smell of freshly ground coffee; it always promises more than it delivers in the cup but the smell is lovely. This is a really pretty little manual grinder made of solid metal with a long handle and real wooden knob. It really is a lovely object. It is quite small and for me it grinds about enough for 2 mocha pots of coffee. I have been grinding the coffee after work the evening before I need it.Grinding is easier or harder depending on how coarse you set the mill. This is done at the base with the container removed by pushing it in and then turning at the same time. A finer grind is harder work. Even with it set to course it is still quite hard work. To complete a full grinder's worth of coffee beans takes several minutes of grinding and it becomes increasingly difficult the longer you grind. The biggest problem with this grinder is that the body does not offer enough grip to provide adequate contra force to the turning handle. As such, as your grip starts to weaken it starts to slip and efficiency starts to suffer somewhat, leading to aching arms.I don't mind doing a bit of work for some freshly ground coffee but it's more something i would do for guests just to show off a bit, I won't be doing this every time I want a brew.

Superb Quality Manual Coffee Grinder
I ordered this coffee bean grinder to use with a single cup Italian stove top coffee maker. The capacity of the grinder is 25gm and I've found that I need to fill it one and a half times to have sufficient ground coffee for the capacity of the coffee maker. However, grinding the beans is very quick to do. This is a small, portable grinder, it's not going to give huge amounts per grind. What strikes me most is the fantastic quality of the machine. It's so well engineered. The materials and finish are superb. All the parts fit together perfectly. In fact, the lid with the handle fits so firmly that it takes some effort to pull it off. When you're turning it to grind, it's definitely not going to come loose.Setting the grade of coarseness is straight forward. It's all very simple to use. There are useful instructions included and also a firm bristle brush for cleaning the grinder. This works very well. Simply turn the dial at the bottom of the container from fine to coarse and experiment until you get the precise grade of coarseness you want.I had seen a coffee spoon in one of the images and assumed that one was included. There's isn't. However, if you fill it to the top with beans you'll fill the bottom container with ground coffee too. You don't need to measure.I've found that gripping the container with my hand and holding it close to my body whilst turning the handle is easiest for me. You can hear the crunching and feel the resistance, and then when all the beans have been ground and dropped to the bottom container, the handle feels free and loose and you know that the grind is finished. It's safe then to unscrew the base. It's effortless to quickly make freshly ground coffee, albeit, in small quantities.I am very impressed with this grinder. Overall I think the quality is exceptional and in seconds you can have perfectly ground coffee. It's looks smart and modern. I love the minimalist design especially in black which matches with other items in my kitchen. The red wood handle is attractive, as well as comfortable to hold. It would make a fantastic present for anyone who appreciates good coffee, as it comes well packaged, but this one is for me.

Excellent consistent & easy grind for the price
Firstly, this a beautiful looking coffee grinder! I chose the ice blue colour because we already have a black one and the finish on it is really nice. It's well presented and comes with clear instructions in English on how to put it together (it's already connected but you just need to attach the handle).Beauty aside, let's look at the actual grinding side as that's what's most important. So my husband (who is the coffee maker in our house) has spent a long time looking at manual grinders and bought a more expensive one last year that we used in our campban as we didn't have the power to have a coffee machine in there so was needed a certain grind of coffee to work with the coffee maker we bought. The one we bought was recommended at the time by a very popular online barista who reviews them. So, we have that one to compare this one with.As you can see from my pictures, we tried a variety of grinds - everything from the finest (for espresso) right up to the heaviest grind used in cafetiers etc.The grinder is a solid piece of kit. The handle fits very securely and the length of it makes it easy work grinding the coffee beans. The grind adjustment is really simple to use ie counting the clicks it suggests to get various grinds. The numbers on my photos with the coffee samples are the number of clicks you grind it to (honestly it sounds complex but the instructions will likely explain it much better than myself and they have pics!).I ignored the recommended settings for the finer grind as it took too long and to be honest, you couldn't really tell the difference between the finest grind at level 5 and level 20. They looked and felt the same between the fingers. The grind seemed fairly consistent and I wasn't honestly, even for the seemingly high price of £45.99 (at the time of review) expecting it to be as good as it is. It is actually quite cheap for a manual grinders (if you are bothered about consistency) and I would even go so far as to say that I will most likely use this one instead of my more expensive one next time I'm travelling.

Not so great unfortunately
I was impressed by other reviews and wanted to try out this grinder, but as soon as I tested it - I was disappointed with the quality of the lid which is hard to fit and every time I failed with fitting- I could find aluminium particles in grinding chamber. So maybe I’ll buy something else…
