ClosetMaid 1662 Console Table with 2 Storage Drawers, Black Walnut

While these bookcases are not 100% perfect, they are perfect for the price, the functionality and the style. I needed shelving space in our office to store all laptops, chargers and miscellaneous stuff as we get them ready for the school year. the shelves on these bookcases can hold up many laptops, as you can see in the picture. The drawer at the bottom isn't as sturdy but perfect for miscellaneous stuff. also, the bookcase isn't too high that you can put things on top as well. What was also perfect for me, is that they are only 13.5" deep which made them fit perfectly in my little entryway. Everybody that comes into my office wows at them.Now, for what's not perfect, the finish of the inside of one of the drawers is wrinkled, the wood (mdf) is scratched on the back of one of the sides (but it's the back and you'd have to bend down to see it, and one of the holes on one shelf didn't line up to securely be attached to the little metal hook, but I was able to turn the hook sideways that the shelf can rest flat.Overall, amazing for the price, and oh! I didn't nail the back thin backing to the the bookcase so I can freely use power cords and other cables to connect them to laptops if need be. Really great that I am ordering another one to house my microwave, backpack and lunch box by my desk.

I had a hard time getting one of the drawers in the cabinet.. One went in pretty easily, the second one would not go in at all. It wouldn't click into the draw sliders, but when I put the sliders together away from the drawer they clicked together like they were suppose to. I had to put the both sliders on the drawer then almost stand on my head, had someone hold the drawer up and the screw the whole thing to the cabinet. It took us almost 4 hours just to figure out how to get the second drawer into the cabinet.

I bought this “used like new” for $20 off the original price. It came dirty, broken, dinged, and with water/liquid damage. This shouldn’t have been $20 off but AT LEAST HALF OFF OR MORE. I can’t believe i spent $68 on this. The top of the table has a huge dent upon arrival. There was dirt and crust on all of the pieces. In one picture i attached there’s a glob of.. something gross. had to sanitize them all as I was assembling. Does amazon not check or clean their products once they are returned??? On the top of the table the corner is worn and looks gross. I understand my product was used but this is so unbelievably unacceptable. Including that, almost every single piece was scratched or dinged up. I could have taken 20 pictures with all the mess on the pieces.Besides that, the pieces didn’t fit properly together smoothly, causing it to take me hours of frustration to put this simple table together. Alas i finally got it together, it looks nice but it’s not as sturdy as i imagined and will tip over with the slightest amount of weight going forward or back. And i can not STAND the huge DENT in the top of table.I am not returning it because it’s ridiculously heavy and this was my second purchase for a table and I’m exhausted and frustrated so it’s not worth it to me. It does the job and i am able to hide/cover the dings for the most part but i feel totally scammed out of my money. Used? This should be donated to good will for free. This is a disgrace to my money. Please do not waste your money on this product!!!! Awful awful awful

Very sturdy and good quality. Easy to put together. Love it!

I did not expect great quality for such a table made in China.The item came in okay. No chips, no missing parts. It's easy to assemble. Since the quality is on the flimsy side, I did have to use a couple of corner braces to reinforce the table.However, the drawer assembly is the biggest failure. The predrilled holes for the drawer slides are at the wrong positions. I had to drill new holes to install the drawer slides. It seems that the individual pieces were not cut in perfect sizes. The width of the drawers are a tad bit too big. Once I put everything together, I found that the drawers are very tight. And that makes them difficult to open and close.So it took me much longer than expected to assemble the table. Once I corrected the mistakes at the drawer mechanism, once I reinforce the table with my own corner braces, the table is okay and functional. But I would not recommend it.

This media tower is ok. I was just upset that the item arrived damaged with a hole in the side. I wish it would have been packaged better or if the item were more sturdy and not damaged so easily. At least all of the parts were there this time. I ordered this same book shelf from another vendor and it arrived without any of the screws and bolts to assemble it. So I decided to just patch the whole, rather than try to order this shelf a third time. The drawer doesn't stay closed very easy, but the shelves are pretty sturdy.

I was happy every part arrived in good condition. No hardware was missing and all holes drilled in the right places. It is heavy, but that actually makes it stronger. You will need two people to move it, unless you have been lifting weights. It is not difficult to assemble, if you follow the steps in order. Do not attempt putting in the drawer until everything is assembled. The lubricant on the slides is very gooey. Have some papers towels handy for your hands, but don't wipe it off the slides. It is perfect in our new kitchen. It beautifully displays my fiesta ware. It is also designed for media systems. All the wires go neatly out the triangular spaces in the back. We have our TV positioned on top. I like it a great deal and recommend this product.

It is pressed board furniture. It looks a little bit nicer in the picture than it is in real life, but it is OK. The drawers don't align 100%, but they work. Overall, it's just OK.
