How far above a seedling plant could u put this light while in a grow tent?

The manufacturer says minimum 12" clearance . This works fine for my mature flowering plant , however I would start at a minimum clearance of 18" and see how the babies respond . Most seedlings like a warm moist environment , 75-80 F , and 70% RH so if in a tent watch the temp. and keep some air moving

Is this just tbe light or does the other stuff come with it?

I don't wear any glasses. As long as you don't stare directly into the light you will be fine
