This is the real thing: An O.E.M. authorized replacement part for the T-fal Calipso Pressure Cooker.
This is the real thing! It was listed as an O.E.M. authorized part for the T-fal P45007 Calipso Stainless Steel 6.3 quart pressure cooker. This item feels very similar to the original ring that came with the pot. Compared to the other ring I purchased earlier, this item is definitely heavier and thicker. Although it was more expensive and took longer to be delivered, it was definitely worth it. The other ring purchased earlier failed to maintain the steam pressure within months allowing steam to escape from under the lid. This ring holds the steam pressure. I have been using this product for a month now, and I am somewhat confident that this will continue to perform as it should because of its heavier weight and thickness.
