Great sent good value for the side the strength of the sent is not too strong easy to use nice warm fragrance

At 8 bucks you get what you pay for, a small tin that can fit in your palm. In my opinion it doesn’t really smell like cedar or pine, more like a really strong forest scented yankee candle. If you’re looking for something deep and earthy this is not it. It’s not bad but it gives me a headache to smell it up close. It also does NOT melt well at all. I assumed it was because of the fact it was in the winter cold on my porch before I got home but after running it under hot water for about 7 mins and it still hadn’t softened even slightly I was a bit disappointed. It can still be applied by aggressively rubbing the cologne then smearing it on yourself it’s just not as satisfying and harder to spread.

I took away one star for the "design" of the tin. It's way to flat and round in diameter which makes it hard to open. Hard to explain but unless you've got pretty big hands it's tricky! You have to hold the bottom part which is 1/4 inch of metal while unscrewing a fairly large in diameter yet slim lid. I would have prefered a "puck" (think smaller in diamter but deeper) tin. Another star lost for the value as you really need to reapply a few times a day to keep the scent noticable. The smell is great, no complaints there though! I got this for a "travel safe" cologne option as I'm always afraid to pack anything in a glass bottle so it's also perfect in that regard.

I wanted to like this so much. Descritpion sounded like I'd love the scent and the value seemed great. That said, the scent was nearly absent--about 25% of a Duke Cannon solid colognes for example--and I have a VERY sensitive sniffer. The hint of a scent seems ok but the strength is VERY weak.

Smells great! Easy to use and carry around

I would think that a cologne would have more scent than after shave balm or shave cream (I have both from Viking Rev.) but this has almost no scent. I had my wife smell it in the tin and she said she couldn't smell anything. Viking products have always been great, but this is a dud for me.UPDATE: Viking reached out to me and offered to replace the original. The replacement tin has a great scent but not overpowering. Terrific service and great product. Will buy again.
