AmLactinCrepe Firming Cream - 12 oz Body Cream with 15% Lactic Acid - Exfoliator and Moisturizer for Crepey, Dry Skin​ (Packaging May Vary)

I have tried many different products for dry skin and this is by far the best lotion I have used. The scent is a bit odd but it fades almost immediately. This lotion leaves my skin soft and well moisturized.

I routinely use Amlactin lotion for the exfoliating effects. This is the first time I bought the cream. It's thick but spreads easily and absorbs well. My minor issue is that the smell is almost like a spice of some sort, which is distracting. This doesn't affect its effectiveness, but I'd be less likely to use it if I didn't live alone.

I love how this makes my skin look and feel but it has a funky smell. I squirted some scented lotion in and mixed it up-problem solved. A few drops of scented oil would work too. I use it at bed time so the smell doesn’t really bother me one way or another. It rubs in great-not greasy at all. Very thick and hydrating.

This product actually works to improve the texture and elasticity of loose skin. I’ve tried numerous products that were guaranteed to improve skin with no results. My dermatologist recommended this product and I couldn’t be more grateful. After just a couple of weeks I noticed a real change in the hydration and smoothness of my skin. The smell is not great but that’s a minor problem considering how effective it is. I often top it with a few drops of my favorite essential oil or bath oil to disguise the fragrance.

This product works great. My only issues is the smell and stickiness.

Why did you pick this product vs others?:This has transformed my skin! I had lots of leftover bumps and scars on my legs from shaving and irritation and this has completely gotten rid of them in about 1 week with daily use. The consistency is excellent and absorbs nicely. I would recommend using it at night as it does smell like... bread or something? So unless you want to be walking around smelling like a croissant all day, use it at night and shower in the morning. But it's worth enduring the smell for the transformation. One note- do not layer it with self tanner as it does not let the tanner absorb- use a thinner consistency lotion.

I have used Amlactin for many years since a plastic surgeon recommended it. I am 72 and have used some form of this for 30 years. My friends have always commented on my skin being so smooth. I recently purchased the cream for crepey skin and I love how smooth it makes my skin feel. I have several friends who now use it and are happy with it. I do not notice a terrible “smell” that many have noticed. I love these products and will continue to use them.

Honestly this is probably the best lotion that I have tried and I have tried them all!! I have very dry skin with crepiness, and it really does help. However, the scent is very off-putting so I just sprayed one squirt of my perfume in it and mixed it up. Voila! Layering and great moisturizing all in one!
