Sandy Leaf Farm Jerky Making Kit - Make Your own Jerky at Home in just a Couple of Hours

Made some beef jerky with this kit and really is good. So tasty and worth making.

I bought two of these hoping to use one myself and give the other as a present to a foodie pal. I immediately sent both back to the seller. The whole product is basically just a tiny sachet of flavouring dust and an oven bag in a cardboard box. This could be forgivable if it came with a good recipe book giving ideas on how to mix your own spices or ideas for marination. This had a single sheet of paper. Here's what I did insteadBuy meatBuy salt and pepper, or alternatively soy sauce and something like chilli flakes or berbere spice.Put meat in the freezer until it's stiff but not frozen (this makes the next step easier)Cut the meat into thin slices (2-3mm thick)Season your meatMarinate overnightPut on a wire rack in the oven at 80C for several hours (until it's dry to the touch but also bends and splits like a green stick)Enjoy

Amazing extra wee gift for husbands birthday. I was going to get a packet of prepared gourmet jerky but I thought this would be a bit of fun! He agreed and it tastes very delicious! I bought 2 more for each of my brothers for Christmas :)
