Math problem-solving geared to testing, not understanding
I ve only sampled a few sections, and the information is laid out well and effectively. However, some of the algorithms for solving math problems seemed structured purely to streamline the mechanics of solving the problem quickly, to the extent of undermining or shrouding the actual mathematics. You can learn to solve certain problems but not “get” it. I only saw it once or twice (because I only reviewed this briefly before handing it to my daughter, the intended user), so it’s probably not widespread, but it seems like a lost opportunity to learn math, not just learn how to take a test.I rate it as 5 stars because, on the whole, this book will undoubtedly satisfy expectations to prepare for the GRE.

Great GRE prep!
Glad I bought this book. If you can afford it, I would also recommend one of the online GRE prep courses offered by Princeton Review (or some other reputable test prep company, like Kaplan). I'm taking the online self-paced course from Princeton Review (see their official website; sometimes they have sales), and it makes a huge difference for me. Using the online course and this book (plus GRE vocab flashcards from *Kaplan) are getting me in the best shape possible for test day. Best of luck to everyone! Smile, breathe, relax, you'll do great.*Note regarding vocab flashcards: I chose Kaplan over Princeton Review because they were cheaper on Amazon at the time of my purchase. I don't think you can go wrong with either company.

Liked the practice tests but wished they were all included in the book and not some online

Seems to be good
I’m still using the book and haven’t taken the GRE yet. But it is a good thick book with plenty of information and practice tests. I recommend!

It is the Best of the 2024 edition.
It was for my grandson.The GRE had everything he needed to prepare himself.

Misleading title: For Old GRE
The title says 2024 but the content is mainly applicable to the old GRE format that sunset in September 2023. It still gets the job done, but it doesn't explain the changes to the exam.
