Worked great, easy install

Not the best pictures since I took them once I was done with the whole project and stuff was covered but trust me it fit really well and was very sturdy my window vertically was about 44 inches and I put 4 of the covers together to make that length I could a used only three but I made sure to be super study I put the length of them as deep as they can go so they were fully stacked. I added sealant for cracks instead of using that tape which could have worked just wanted it to be fully sealed. Works great there were other smalls gaps in the area where the hose thing connects to the panels but my location is permanent and I epoxied it and those cracks were sealed since i used a bunch of epoxy.

The media could not be loaded. I would have preferred if the kit included 2 differently sized pieces (one shorter, one longer), because I had to cut mine to size with a saw. It was too long. Aside from that, it really was easy to use. I followed the manual and installed the weather tape FIRST.Some others have reported needing a coupler attachment for their AC unit - keep this in mind. My AC unit already had a coupler and the hose fit right in. But yours may be different! I think this is a good deal for the money.

I have a Frigidaire portable air conditioner that needed a new hose. I bought this kit and the quality is way better than the original Frigidaire one! The plastic is very thick and sturdy, the hose itself is really heavy duty, not flimsy like the original. The panels finally fit my window properly, the original ones were too short and too wobbly/flimsy, plus they didn't fit the frame properly, it was awkward trying to put them in. The part where the hose attaches to the panels is so much better, the way the connector clicks into place. Solid and no gaps. The panels are easily adjusted with the included screws. The panels are more narrow than the old ones, and sturdier and fit better, all this is important because we were able to leave the ac in during recent high winds. Due to our location and size of the window we use a portable ac to be able to close the window when it gets really windy, the old one was horrible at keeping out the wind. This one is awesome!

I’m returning this. It doesn’t fit my older portable Ac, Koldfront pac1402w which doesn’t sell on amazon anymore. Bought it in 2017 and just this year the tube broke. I thought this would fit since it was universal 5.9 inches but it doesn’t. The thing is my connector is special and can’t find it anywhere, can’t put any connector on it. So the tube doesn’t fit to the unit. Pops right out no matter what I do. I’m going to have to buy another ac and throw this one in the garbage… Sad

After putting the entire panel in place, we were unable to attach the hose to the panel connector or to the AC. We were so frustrated and upset that we boxed up the entire system & were prepared to return it, then we saw a different but similar product. And, in the installation directions of the other product, it specifically said to turn the hose counter clockwise, and that worked!Wasn’t that an important detail to include in the directions?Someone needs to proofread the installation directions!

Simple to put together, fits into slide windows with ease. The little rubber weather strip that came with it didn’t really work with my window, but it’s super sticky! I used some foam weather stripping I had here at home, instead, but yeah! It’s excellent, let’s the hot air out, and keeps the bugs out too!Also- be aware it doesn’t come with the coupling for the end that attaches to the air conditioner!

You get what you buy with this purchase. The only reason I wouldn't give it 5 stars is because it would be nice for there to be a connector on each end, rather than just "screwing" the hose into an endpoint. If you fix this somewhere, you'll have to remove the whole thing due to no quick disconnect feature.
