Great for making custom figures
I use this to coat my custom action figures. It works great and looks great too and offers great protection to acrylic paint.

Not Matt, more like Satin, dries quick
Decided to give this a try to replace Vallejo Matt which i can't seem to find anywhere right now... unfortunately, while application was flawless and dries really quick, it dries satin. I'm not entirely unset about this, however i really need a super matt varnish. Will keep this in my arsenal until i can find something better.

Life Saver.
I had prepared expensive stock for a Craft Fayre and used another product that claimed to be Matt finish, result..... disaster, horrendous high gloss finish on my very expensive Art items. I complained to the company and got no response.......typical, so, on advice, trawled through Amazon and discovered this product which was a lifesaver. It worked! thank god, which saved me a lot of lost revenue. From now on I will never go for the cheaper version and am in the process of reordering this even though it is slightly more expensive. Thank you The Army Painter.

MATT LACQUER IS NO LONGER MATT
This product was a great matt lacquer. The only bad point was that it was very hard to get the top off and sometimes dangerous.it then started to become hard to get.I then got 2 cans in April 2023 and it had changed. The top was easier to get off but the matt lacquer was now glossier. I had some model buildings that I had previously sprayed and needed to respray the 'ground' outside to fix some static grass etc. Comparing previously sprayed areas and newly sprayed areas the new lacquer was far more like a satin or gloss than the original matt.I'm now looking for another 'matt' matt lacquer.

Is what it says on the tin
Another excellent product from army painter. It really is a Matt finish. Goes on smooth and is easy to apply.

Anti shine ? matt or satin? confusing product
A very confusing product The amazon description says anti shine matt varnish and from a company like Army painter I expected a great product but what I got was not what I payed for. The clear lid says Anti shine matt varnish but the can says satin on the back? Anyway after a very good shake of the can for a few minutes and 1 coat of the varnish I waited about 30 mins then checked my Miniature and its shiny not matt. Now it is not over the top shiny but when using a camera flash or under direct light there is a significant shine, I did not apply a second coat because I did not want to make the model any more shiny but well I am very disappointed. I gave it 3 stars because it will still protect the model and the can itself is of good quality but if anyone can explain the matt or satin issue on the spray can itself I would be in your debt.
