Great build and design
This is a gorgeous little walker. Great build and design. My boy has never really got the hand of using it as a ride on toy (at least not self propelled), but absolutely loves it as a walker. It's kept its bright colours and shiny finish despite getting rammed into everything in range. Can't ask for more in a kids walker.

A sturdy walker
Generally well made and certainly very study, this more traditional yet modern looking baby walker is popular with both the 14 month old and his four year old brother. It is relatively heavy and quite stable, the main body being of wood with metal framing, and with bright 'plastic' type handles and wheels and rubber tyres. It can be used as a walker, or ridden foot-powered, although there is no steering which will mean a lot of lifting and shuffling to turn corners. There is space beneath the seat to store or carry small items.A little assembly is required, which would be very simple other than the fact that the wheels make access to two of the bolt holes awkward. My one concern is the finish to the edge of the plywood seat, a little more sanding would not go amiss as it is slightly rough to the touch, and I wonder in if in time there might be a problem with splinters.

Looks good, nice quality but a bit disappointed...
This is a cute walker but i don’t think it’s going to work very well as a trike because it’s quite heavy and the front wheels don’t turn. The other slight disappointment is that the seat doesn’t raise so my grand daughter has to peer into the storage area. Had I seen this Walker first I wouldn’t have bought it for reasons stated but saying that my grandaughter does enjoy it and can now hoik it round to change direction - so perhaps it offers a good workout.

A sturdy and great looking rider
The Hape Little Red Rider is a great looking little rider and ideal for any toddler. It’s very robustly made and is reassuringly sturdy and will easily cope with the rigors that a toddler will throw at it. The storage area underneath for toys, etc. is also a great idea and adds to the fun.My only slight gripe is that the seat area is very basic, it’s a pity this wasn’t a more contoured design that’s a little more comfy and easier to sit on for the child, but overall this is a very well made little rider.

My grandson loves it. Can be used for riding on, as a walker and there's space for small toys under the seat.

Solid, traditional, and well-made.
This arrived this morning, and has already been well-used by our 14-month old grandson. It comes fully assembled, with the exception of the handle, which must be attached using the nuts and bolts supplied. There is also an Allen key included, though I did need to employ an adjustable spanner to hold the nut steady too. The wooden construction is a treat, and feels solid, and well-made. There is room under the seat for some small toys, but they have to be retrieved through the same gap, as the seat is fixed.I liked the addition of a small ledge at the back of the seat, to stop the child slipping off, and the rider feels heavy enough not to tip over, like some of the all-plastic varieties. The big wheels enable smooth running, whether over carpet indoors, or on the outside patio. The grips on the handles are nice and rubbery, and small hands do not slide off of them. If only the wheels would turn, it would be worth the full five stars.
