Savage Gear Folding Rubber Mesh Landing Net L (65x50cm)

I bought this to travel light hunting pike I also have a savage bag with a hoop to hold the net but when you walk the net falls down the frame then you walk all over it, god help you if you get a fish on because it’s really hard to push back being rubber, also it is impossible to set up one handed with the two metal push buttons and it’s quite a task using two hands, the finish is bad and I’ve had to put cable ties on so the net doesn’t fall down, I expected a bit more from savage, two words come to mind “shoddy” and “flimsy”, check my photos out

I have several different nets over the years and 2 or 3 different folding nets for pike and trout, but these nets are far superior to any of them. great mechanism, folds out in seconds, strong and lovely rubber netting, no hook ups and I find it holds its shape a lot better than conventional net. I use mine on the boat for pike, the handle is perfect length. the problem with a lot of other specimen nets is that they are far too deep in my experience, far too much material. This net combats that nicely and would be just as at home on the bank for carp, pike or small cats, with waders or willies to assist. thumbs up :) highly recommend this !!!

Very modern design, light and practical. Folding mechanism works great (and I haven't got strong hands). It is solid - will take double figure fish (not quite fully tested that one personally yet!). The rubberised mesh prevents trebles from snagging - something which drives me mad with conventional knotless. Ideal for predators but could be used just as well for general coarse/game fishing. A proper working durable bit of fishing kit. You could easily make it your only net. Good value, does the job well, and will last. Get one.
